Well-it looks as if I will be travelling to WDW for a 48 hour trip in early September all by my little self. I will be meeting up with a friend who is travelling with extended family and we are using this as a chance to get caught up after many years. It's quite possible that I will join the family for some meals (I don't really know if they are ADR types) but I may also end up eating alone at certain points.
So, my question is this-is there a likelyhood that a single diner could walk up to breakfast at Kona Cafe or to dinner at a monorail resort restaurant or an Epcot TS location? Can you eat at the bar if there is one?

You should have no problems at Kona, at the Monorail resorts you should be fine as long as you don't want to do a character meal.

The Wave at the CR would be a good bet- or Kona for dinner works too.

As far as Epcot goes- for TS you could get into Morocco, China, Germany or the Bistro de Paris upstairs at France with few problems (IMHO).

There is a copper counter at Flying Fish where you can eat and watch the chefs at the same time.

The earlier the better though- and if you have your heart set on a certain location, make a ressie!

Good luck....

I was told last year by a CM at the Poly CL Desk that DW and I could just walk up to the California Grill, be seated at the bar, and eat from the restaurant menu.

I forget exactly why we were looking to do this, but decided on something else. I assume since a CM told me this that it's true.
