Hi I’ve travelled to Disney solo from uk for years this is the first year without das I’m pretty doubtful I’d be accepted and calling from uk is a little convoluted I’m looking for tips.
I’m partially deaf, I wear hearing implant this can make for pretty overwhelming in internal areas with sensory noise overload trying to process it.
I’m able to do shorter waits and can turn off my processor but this leaves me vulnerable as I now can’t hear announcements.
Also I am not a fan of people very close to me and closed confined spaces I can’t easily get out of can overwhelm me( I’m pretty sure if I wasn’t nearly 50 I’d have been diagnosed autistic but have learned coping mechanisms usually involving getting out of environment)

If I get too overwhelmed and need to leave how does return to line work if I’m on my own?
What do people think about a scoter to allow me more space even though I don’t have mobility issues would that help?
I know I could purchase line passes but I don’t do coaster or vr rides do to virtago from my hearing loss and tend to just head to parks when I feel like and for shorter times each day due to being there for 2 weeks so it’s not really a financialy sound option.

Any other tips or tricks?

I wouldn't do the scooter. They are hard to maneuver out of lines in, you are low in the crowd so you can feel closed in and you cannot see what is going on around you.

Hit the parks first thing in the morning and last thing before close for the shortest lines. Use an app like Lines from Touring Plans to get data on actual waits vs Disney's inflated waits. Consider splurging on LL for a few days of your trip to treat yourself. The LLs are so much shorter these days they seem practically walk on.

I would try for the DAS when you get to the parks they may say yes if you do not get a DAS a lot of people have had good out comes by telling the CM they are denied a DAS and they really can not wait in line and if there is acomidation at this ride some will let you right on some will give you a return time some will not do anything but I have heard of people getting accommodation when asked for them

IMG_4816.jpegPacked and ready to go, 😊. Far to early as I don’t fly till the 26th but had a rubbish night at work and needed cheering up.
My cat decided to get in the picture 😹. Typical for them I have two named CHIP and DALE. Disney all the way. Named all four cats I’ve owned after Disney.
Lots of space in both cases for souvenirs and food that I can’t buy in the UK👍👍👍🤤
