Do you think I'll need to make PR's (or whateverthehell they're called) for my Nov 28th through Dec. 3rd trip? I have made one for LTT on my MVMCP night, but I'd rather not have to stick to a plan if I don't have to. I'm just wondering if it will be hard for me to find a sit-down meal as a solo walk-in at that time of the year.

TIA

It's not a busy time, so I wouldn't say "absolutely you need to make them ahead of time", but I do reccomend that you make a PS day-of. I either use my cell phone, stop by one of the dining booths, the restaurant itself, or guest services. They can make PS's as long as it is at least one-hour in advance (any less then an hour and you must go to the restaurant in person).

This way, you plan as you go, but you also aren't showing up cold-turkey.

Good luck!

Can anyone else chime in on this? Since we're in ADR range, have any other solo's had good/bad experiences getting TS meals at restaurants like Le Cellier and Chef's de France?

Well, yes, sometimes I have had challenges. Remember, even if you are solo, you will be booked at a table for two, so you will be competing with duos.

I too hate having a plan if I am on my own, but this year was definitely more difficult than past years, most likely due to the Dining Plan being offered. Some nights it was impossible to get a table at one of the more possible restaurants, unless one was willing to eat very late....

Hopefully it will work for you, but you may want to plan a little just in case. (URG just typing that went against my nature!) :goodvibes

If you're solo you're fighting for the same tables as couples, so you won't have a better chance then them, really. At that time of year, I don't think you'll really have a problem - you can always check with your hotel guest services desk and ask about availability and they can look it up for you.

I'd just make any that you are set at eating at and wing the rest ;)

Hi!

Just wanted to chime in that I tried to get a res at Le Cellier for one on Dec. 5th and could not. I was booking the Candlelight Processional Package, so I asked if I could make a res without the CP Package and there was still no availability. Hope you have better luck!

I'll be there solo that same week!
I've gotten into Chefs de France for lunch as a solo with no ADR, no wait, around 12:45. Rose and Crown took me as a walk-up, but it was right at opening, so they said they could "squeeze me in". The only ADRs I expect to need are for CRT and for Sci Fi.
