I am in the process of planning my first solo trip. I have had many other trips that I always had to plan and catered to everyone else. Well my family though it was time for me to do what I wanted!!!!

I fly in on a Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and I am staying at AKL (so excited about that). In the past I have stayed off site, Pop Century or POFQ.

I figured my room wouldn't be ready, so I could drop my bags and head to Hollywood Studios. It looks like HS will be a crowd level 4. I was thinking of trying to get FPs for Toy Story, Star Tours and ToT. Not really interested in Slinky Dog or Alien Saucers. Have to admit that HS is my least favorite park. I have an ADR planned for 6:55 for Yachtsman, so I would boat over.

Sunday RD MK (crowd level 3)
I was thinking of not getting any FP and just optimizing RD.
11:55 Cali Brunch (looking forward to trying this)

hop over to Epcot (FP Soarin, Frozen Ever After, Illuminations) single rider TT
7:00 Monsieur Paul

Monday RD Epcot (crowd level 4)
hit Soarin at RD and FP Figment, Seas and Spaceship Earth
11:30 Coral Reef
after lunch head to Disney Springs (shop and maybe see a movie)
7:45 Boathouse

Tuesday AK Wild Africa Trek booked from 8:00 to 11:00
Yak & Yeti lunch at 12:00
I would like to try and get a FP for FOP (could I do this between 11 and 12)????

hop to HS (crowd level 2) FP Toy Story
5:50 Brown Derby
stay to watch Fantasmic

Wednesday MK @ 7:30 for Keys to the Kingdom (8:00 to 1:00) lunch provided at CHH
I would like to hop to AK FP????
Tiffins ROL @ 3:25

Thursday sleep in and go to DS
11:30 Frontera Concina
5:10 Narcoosees
Disney After Hours at MK (hopefully get there by 7:00)

Friday sleep in again
10:55 BOMA
DS again pick up gifts for home and use leftover snack credits
6:50 Jiko

Saturday RD AK (crowd level 7 - YIKES) check luggage early or??
FP FOP and Safari and walk trails
Sanaa 11:55
ME pickup around 2:55 for a 5:55 flight home

Of course either Thursday or Friday I could go to a park during the day if I really felt like it. I am trying to plan this trip a bit more relaxed and not go commando as I have done every other trip.

Thoughts???

Looks like fun.

Watch your Tier 1 FP. For example, Sunday you want Soarin and FEA-both of which are Tier one. Move your FEA to Monday and switch for Figment, Nemo, or SE. And Tuesday you won't be able to get FOP and TSMM as they are both Tier one and in separate parks. If you get FOP, then you can try for TSMM day of. With just you, day of FP should be pretty easy for anything you want.

Thank you for the recommendations. I really need to look at a basic touring plan and figure out my fast passes.
This is my first time traveling solo, first time park hopping and first time doing extras (beyond Halloween or Christmas parties).

Sounds like a fun time. You picked many of our favorite restaurants.
Sunday

hop over to Epcot (FP Soarin, Frozen Ever After, Illuminations) single rider TT - All three are Tier 1, can only FP 1 of them. By afternoon, the line at Soarin is often shorter. Would probably FP FEA.
7:00 Monsieur Paul

Monday RD Epcot (crowd level 4)
hit Soarin at RD and FP Figment, Seas and Spaceship Earth. don't need a FP for Figment. You don't have a Tier 1 here, consider TT in place of Figment.

Tuesday AK Wild Africa Trek booked from 8:00 to 11:00
Yak & Yeti lunch at 12:00
I would like to try and get a FP for FOP (could I do this between 11 and 12)???? Only if the stars align. A FP for FoP seems difficult before 60+4 days. Could happen.

hop to HS (crowd level 2) FP Toy Story If you can't get a FP for FoP, would get a FP for SDD or TSMM (only 1 Tier 1 here as well.

Wednesday MK @ 7:30 for Keys to the Kingdom (8:00 to 1:00) lunch provided at CHH
I would like to hop to AK FP???? Another chance for FoP FP or Navi.
Tiffins ROL @ 3:25

Saturday RD AK (crowd level 7 - YIKES) check luggage early or?? You can check luggage starting around 5am.
FP FOP and Safari and walk trails You should have a much better chance of FoP Fp for this day.

Thanks. I need to look at the tiers and figure out the do rules I guess. I am sure I won’t be doing a lot of rides. I really just want to enjoy the atmosphere and the small things oh and the food!

When are you traveling? If it's before December 3rd, I'd recommend that you put in a request for a non-pool view room. There is construction going on at the pool and it can get a bit noisy. If sleeping in a bit is part of the plan it's important for you to know.

The resort is absolutely beautiful! We just stayed there for our honeymoon and the resort and staff are amazing. They have a painting class that I wish we would have had time to do. It looked like fun. We did do the night vision goggles on the Terrace one night and that was really cool.

Have an amazing time!

Not traveling until February.
I have dined at Jiko before, so I have been to the resort. I am really looking forward in exploring more though.
