Solo on my Bday?!!

I am considering going solo over my birthday too! I am going to take myself out to a fabulous dinner, maybe take a guided tour, and just generally do whatever I want to on my day. Just think about something you have always wanted to do at Disney, but never have, and go do it!

That's funny - that's what I did last year, except at DisneyLand. The park and I both turned fifty last year - and where else would a Disneyphile go when worlds collide like that? :)
Yes, I got the birthday sticker (button came later); yes, I took a park tour - the park tour included dinner PS (but not the meal :)) at a restaurant I'd planned to visit anyway. Oh, and I got there an hour and a half before the park opened (by mistake) and told every Cast Member who approached what the occasion was and HOW much I wanted to be the first person in the park. Just before opening the gates to all Guests, a CM brought me inside(!) and, with another family he'd chosen, we counted down to opening from inside the park along with the hundreds of people still outside :) THAT was great! The tour was fantastic - it started with two solo adults and one family; the family dropped out after ten minutes, when they realized we weren't going to stop for all the characters so it was pretty much a personalized tour. And of course the birthday sticker/pin gets you all kinds of fun attention throughout the day

I had the most wonderful thing happen on my b-day (before I knew there were b-day buttons). I had the entire Jungle Cruise boat guests sing happy b-day to me! Totally cool!

pixiedust: I am also going in May Solo to celebrate my 48th birthday, then am leaving for a 4 day cruise  My third solo trip!! I love it!!

I think I have finally narrowed my dates down. Looks like I will be at the world May 7-14 +/- a couple dates in either direction. My premium annual pass is on its way. Hoping I get it before the codes are released and then hoping there are annual pass codes. lol! Who else will be there during these dates..Especially celebrating disney solo birthdays?!! party: :bday:

I am so jealous of you all going!! I just got back and would do anything to get back there. Hey, my bday is 3/6 maybe I can get my DH to give me a little getaway ALL BY MYSELF. There is so much I would love to go and do and not have my whole family/friends with me. Yes, I love them dearly but just ONCE I would like to go alone. I would love to just sit in either the WL and AKL and just stare at the entire LOBBY without "running" off to catch a bus to a PARK. I would love to just sit on a bench in the MK and not have to "hurry off" to get in line for a ride. I just would love to go and R E L A X at WDW for an entire week!! I know it will never ever happen but I can wish it!!! pixiedust:
