I'm doing the Disney Vacation this year with a bunch of friends from college. The solo part lies in the fact that I'm at work at 5:30 every morning, thus my body is up and ready to go by 6 am whenever I'm on vacation. Seeing that they all work normal people hours and live in time zones further west, no one else is ready to roll out of bed to about 10 am. :rotfl:

I'm planning on booking the early Segway tour one morning, any suggestions for what to do with my other 3 mornings? I decided this year there's no point waisting the morning sitting with a book on a lounge chair pool side. Should I just hit the parks early and meander or should I try to get in another tour or 2? :sad2:

TIA

How about eating Breakfast with Cinderella in the Castle then strolling around a near empty park??? Take pics etc. Or breakfast with Pooh??? Same after with pics or getting to your first fav ride with no wait..AK...eat Breakfast with a dinosaur and then go on a safari to see the animals as they wake...great pics!!! Epcot...Breakfast with a princess then a stroll to be first in line for soarin?????I can think of quite a few myself!:surfweb:

Apr 20-27 was my first completely solo WDW vacation.
I took 3 EpCot tours - Garden, Countries and FutureWorld
The other 4 mornings I took one for each park opening to get on the major rides

We just got back and let me tell you-TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE MORNINGS!!!
We were there every morning at rope drop and could walk on most rides. Within two hours the waits got crazy unless you are really good with fastpass planning. Segway would be cool in an emptier park but the other tours they get you around the crowds pretty easily.

I know I'm definitley doing the Segway tour! That's something I've wanted to do for the last 3 years. :thumbsup2

I know one morning will be hitting MGM and riding TOT and RNR over and over since I'm the only one who will ride them. And since I'm one of the few people that does not find IASW to be torture, that's one morning also. There's just something about planning quiet mornings for myself that's getting exciting. Then again, we all went to college in DC and I was the first one if I had 3 free hours in a row to hit the Smithsonian by myself. There's just something about setting your own pace for a few hours that just feels right. :cloud9:

When I have time at WDW in the early mornings, my preference is to exercise, either by going jogging, or at the fitness center if the resort has one. This allows me to enjoy those great Disney meals the rest of the day without packing on extra weight. I feel that you're very lucky to have this free time in the morning, as you have a chance to exercise without missing something else you were going to do.

I don't know where you're staying, but many of the resorts have a scenic trail where you can jog/run. On my last trip, I did this one day at CBR. All the guests walking on the trail were very friendly and greeted me. It was one of the nicest memories from the trip.
