I have booked a trip for Jan 16-21 at Wilderness Lodge and my friend who was going with me just got laid off. So she's not sure she will be able to go since she will be looking for a new job, and she may not be able to get time off when she does get one. So if i can't find anyone to replace her...which is looking like it's not going to happen, then i'm going solo.

Never have been to Disney alone and a little nervous about it. Anyone else going solo the dates i will be there?

I won't be there those dates, but I think you'll have a great time! You'll get to do what you want, when you want. You can go on whatever attraction you want or skip an attraction completely. You can dine where and when you want. You're on your schedule and no one else's. I always bring a book with me, as it takes any awkwardness away from dining solo or while waiting for a parade or show to start. I say Go For It!!!

I do keep hearing it's great to go solo, and i can see the upside to doing whatever i feel like and not having to worry about others. I'm just a little nervous about it since i've never done a solo trip.

I know how you feel. I intend on going to WDW next year, haven't planned when yet, but it will probably be my first solo trip also. But the more feedback I read on these forums, the more confident and comfortable I feel about doing a solo trip. The people on Disboards are awesome!

I agree.....the more Diser's tell me i will love going alone the more i know i'll love going solo :thumbsup2
