I'm going on a solo "mom relaxation trip" and I want opinions.

I've been solo to Disney many times, I'm not worried about eating at table services alone, I don't have a budget cap since I'm only there a few days, and I'm not an adventurous eater.

I am staying at Beach Club and I don't mind going to another resort. I'd like to go to Riviera on the Skyliner and look around, maybe look at a DVC room there if they'll let me.

I won't be going to Magic Kingdom this trip, but I'm not against going to the area.

My favorite solo spots to eat at are Biergarten for the show and the atmosphere, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Homecomin', and Sci-fi.

I have no solid plans except eat, drink, ride rollercoasters, swim, repeat.

Tell me your hidden gem.

Loved the AYCE crab legs at Cape May Cafe but the new family style is mediocre. Beaches and Cream is good and the 8 dollar sundae is a good deal. Cobb Salad at Hollywood Brown Derby is a great lunch or light dinner.
I am going solo for the long Thanksgiving weekend. Going to try the new Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary.

Some personal solo favorites:
  • Enchanted Rose
  • Garden Grill (mostly for the character interaction)
  • Kona Cafe for breakfast (use Mobile Order and eat outside on the deck)
  • Geyser Point (best burger on property, in my opinion)
  • Sci-fi
Check out Space 220.. they have a lounge area. You may be able to grab a walk-up.

Artist Point used to be my go to for solo trips, but I have not been there since it changed to Storybook Dining. Flying fish was nice solo. One of my favorites when I’m alone is Raglan Road. There is just so much going on there from the music to the Irish dancing.

im not sure if flying fish is open? The lounge at Beach Club is good, so is kimonos, and there is also the lounge at Blue Zoo

You already found one of my go-tos for solo-Sic-Fi. I don't know when you're going. but I love character meals solo, even though I'm not much of a "seeing the characters" person. But there's nothing I enjoy more than watching families, especially the kids, get their first peek at the characters and get all excited. My first solo character meal was Cape May, a great location for solos because I wasn't the only solo in the place. And service was EXCELLENT-I think that when you go to a character meal solo, the servers are extra concerned about you not feeling left out. I ended up with two servers!
Another great place for solos is Yak and Yeti in AK. So many little things to look at while you dine.

I never thought of doing a character meal solo, but it makes sense. Happy people watching

I think Ragland Road would be fun solo if you go when they have the Irish dancers/music. I really enjoyed it with my daughter a few months ago and would go back by myself.

I can understand-I never thought of doing one solo either. But I was staying at BCV, and I really wanted a big breakfast close by. It was really about convenience, in spite of (I thought) it being a character meal.
