I am a WDW solo traveler, and wanted to try something diff than my usual eatery haunts (Pecos Bill, Columbia Harbor).

I have done the Hoop Dee Doo solo, so understand the family style meals.

Has any other solo guests dined at either GG or CP?

I've dined at almost every character dining (haven't tried PSB or Donald's, yet) solo. The only thing with GG is that if you are in a booth make sure you are on the outside end so you can get up easier to take pics with the characters. You never know if you might get a chipmunk sitting on the opposite side of the booth with you! :) Enjoy your meals at CP and GG!

I've eaten at Garden Grill solo. I don't particularly care for character dining, but I was in the mood for the menu. It was quite an experience, that's for sure! I can tell you that every single character didn't like playing second fiddle to the book I was reading. <G> I did have to at least give them a quick hello every time they went by. My only annoyance was when the restaurant's rotation brought me to the entrance of the restaurant. Mickey came by and soooo many people (non-diners) ran into the restaurant to get photos. There were quite a few pictures taken of children with Mickey and this odd chick in the background trying to read a book and eat lunch. ;)

This past Mar I ate solo at Crystal Palace before taking the KTTK tour. It was good - waitresses helped w/taking pictures w/the characters.
