I have a few solo ADR's. Do they generally seat you at a table for two? If there's a change and friend can join me, will a quick call to reservations generally work out?

Generally there is no such thing as a table for an odd number of people, so if you show up with one additional person, bringing it up to an even number, there should never be any problem.

Personally I would not even bother to change the reservation.

Don't mean to take over your topic Lily, but...

I haven't made any TS reservations on my DDP as I don't know where I'm going to be each day and am very ADD and easily change my mind. I don't mind eating at odd hours. Also, I haven't decided whether to use my TS at lunch or dinner. I'm avoiding using it for breakfast.

Anybody have any advice about how easy it will be if I just show up at a TS restaurant to get seated? I'll be there from 7/31-8/6. I so far only have reservations for 7/31.

I'm also wondering the same thing.. how difficult is it to just show up for TS if you're solo and don't have a reservation? I'm really having trouble deciding where I'll be which day and I'm wary of making ressies 'cause of that.

From what I hear it will be very difficult to get in as a walk up, regardless of the time. You may be very sorry you didn't make ressies. Why not call and see now if any places you might like have any openenings!!
