Well, It happen and it happen quickly. I sold both of our DVC contracts and got what we paid for them so that is a good thing as far as timeshares go.

The process took nearly 5 months but I am glad that the buyers were able to have their DVC by the new year.

DVC was there for us when we needed it most. It got our family through a very difficult time. There were years we went 4 times just to escape from our reality. Things changed for the better and we found we didn't need Disney and we could cope. Finally we moved away and I knew it was time to sell.

It is bittersweet as DVC and Disney helped us so much when we needed it. Now it is there to bring joy to new families. I have almost exactly what I paid, years of wonderful memories and smile.

Now, I will join the renting forum as an ex owner.

Congrats but we are sorry to see you leave us. Lots of rentals and condos for rent in the area though so enjoy them when you come back.

I've struggled with thoughts of selling since last May. We ended up using my brother in law's timeshare to stay off property and loved our stay a lot more than staying on property. It was the perfect space and the perfect location for our family. I can't quite pull the trigger on listing ours just yet.

We will be selling one of our DVC resorts in 2017, as soon as we get the points back. We love DVC but we do not go as often as we did and are being priced out of the tickets. We will take the money and invest it for other travel opportunities that we have missed with doing Disney vacations. We will still have 300 points so a big trip every two years or a cruise will still be possible
