 Ok Tell me is this going to be unbearable at the MNSSHP on Halloween night?????? I must say I assumed all along it would be SOLD OUT on the 31st.... So I should not be surprised.

We thought we would go to MK during the day for a bit to enjoy the park and rides. This way the Party can be laid back...;)

We did the Christmas party in 2001 and it was very busy along Mainstreet ,but the rest of the park was ok and we had a great time.

I don't get to stressed out over things and I really think it is how you look at it? We are all so excited!

So I guess we need to line up for the parade early that night!

I have to see the Headless horseman???:p

Any body go on Halloween night last year?

I went last year on Halloween night and it too was sold out. It always sells out.

It was our first MNSSHP but we also did MVMCP 2 times as a comparision on crowds etc...MNSSHP was MUCH more crowded.

But if you go knowing this and just enjoy the atmosphere, trick or treating, get your photo taken, and enjoy the parade (I'd wait for the second one) then you will have a blast.

I felt the rides were crazy but I'm talking about Fantasyland...I don't know how other areas were. We rode HM right away and didn't have a wait. We got to ride Goofy's Barnstormer twice in a row with no wait either so I think it depends on where you hang out.

We also got the photo over with right away too so we wouldn't have to worry about crowds or getting dirty or cranky etc...

The trick or treat lines appear long but they go SO fast that it was no problem at all. They have lots of good candy and each places give something different!

Unlike MVMCP both parades were crowded. If you go to the second parade, I'd get to the parade route at least 1/2 an hour before. If you go to the first, then you need to line up ASAP!

I believe many people were just walking around enjoying the atmosphere since it was Halloween.

I think you'll have a blast no matter what!

:jester: That is just as I thought. I felt the same way about the Christmas party. Fantasyland was a nightmare, but the rest of the park was fine. Our second parade was much less crowded too.

So does the Headless horseman run his horse before the second parade too?????

Good plan: We will do our picture first and really we are going to enjoy the atmosphere too.
We are doing Mk early that day to enjoy the park and going back to resort about 2:00 for nap and getting ready. We have a PS at Ohana for 5:20 and then to hop on the monorail to the party...

Sounds like you guys had a great time! It is all about attitude!:p

Yes, the Headless Horseman runs during both parades!! It's way cool! He's hard to see though as it's pretty dark! It might just depend on where you are standing...we were on Main Street in front of the Castle but right before the little rotary...our video of him didn't come out that great but you could certainly hear him!

Yes, we had a great time! We're going to do Halloween night again next year!;)

I was there last year too-and I didn't realize it was sold out! We had extra tickets that didn't get used...bummer! I have to agree with the above poster-go to enjoy the environment, have fun in costume in the Magic Kingdom (what a treat!), and to make some memories! Last year we just planned on getting our photo right away (we were in the park by 6pm), riding the Haunted Mansion, and seeing the parade and fireworks. Well, we got to ride Splash and POC too! Don't plan on riding the rides...or just pick a couple that you want to focus on...and you may be surprised what you get accomplished!!

I can't stress this enough...GET A SPOT FOR THE PARADE EARLY!! I would strongly suggest watching the second parade. The parades were the times when we noticed the CROWDS last year!! There is so much theming going on here...be prepared for LOTS of walking (wear sensible shoes!) to take it all in.

Have a wonderful time...I'll be there too! It's great fun!

:p IVY :p

I am so glad that we got ours when they were first released.

We were there last year on Halloween as well, and we had a blast. We actually found the lines for rides to be shorter than we expected, and by the end of the evening we just walked on most rides. The lines for pictures and the games outside of Splash Mountain were longer than the line rides, in my opinion. The candy lines were long at the beginning as well, but by the end of the night they were open to walk right through.

We did avoid Fantasyland, as my daughters wanted to ride BTMR, Splash and Space Mountain more than anything else. Adventureland was packed when we went through, but we pretty much walked right onto PoC. Tomorrowland seemed empty by the end of the night, but it does have that big, open feel anyways!

Schmeck, wondering how boring Halloween will seem this year at home, LOL!
