Well TSS listed my contract yesterday and said that they would call if someone wanted to buy my contract. Unfortunately, this afternoon the call came in.

My contract sold in less than 24 hours from listing. I was on the fence about selling but the choice was made. I close after our last DVC vacation in March/April.

Then we plan to use the money for taking our DS to vacations in other countries. Not just the Epcot world.

TSS handled the entire sale very well.

It is bittersweet as I had thought about selling for the first time in January when I paid the MF. DS getting older and now questions the reality of the characters. He still loves the rides and we love Disney. But with the changes I thought that I had to sell before loosing even more money.

I don't mind the loss as it was well paid for in memories and times with family, the real reason to buy a DVC.

I had my contract for about 5 years and it was just 190 points at OKW on the 2042 expiration.

Now I will be renting points from my friends here on DVC or going with PINS and discounts.

I know it is difficult to part with at first but once you start looking into vacationing elsewhere for a while it will ease the pain a little. Not surprised at the fast sale though.....as I told you on the other thread same thing happened to me with my SSR. The House of Mouse will be standing for years to come and don't worry you'll end up there again one day :wizard:

Wow, that was really fast! I know it must be sad to sell, but probably better that it sold quickly and you will be able to start planning trips to other "worlds." I find it is always hard to let go, even though it was probably time since you were on the fence.

I think about selling every year or so since we own other timeshares and we seem to be out of vacation time to actually use all of them. But then we have a really fun trip and I say, oh heck, let's keep them for another year....

The good news is, you can always rent or buy back in if you are really missing it that much. There will always be a way!

Congrats on the quick sale!

If you owned OKW for 5 years, then you probably did not LOSE any money at all when you compare apples-to-apples.

In other words, factor in your purchase price minus sale price and add in all annual dues. Now that is your total cost for 5 years.

Now, divide the total cost by all the number of nights you used DVC over the past 5 years (including the room sizes) to get your final average cost per night.

I would bet that your cost per night is less than if you paid Disney for the same thing.

Congrats on the quick sale. We had a small OKW that listed yesterday as well and I just received notice that it went this morning - that was after I turned down an offer yesterday afternoon.

Once again, VERY pleased with TTS!

How much do they charge per point to sell and what other charges do they add.Would welcome the information.

Thanks Ian

We were very pleased with TSS also. Listed Friday morning & sold Friday!!! TSS was great for us. We added on 100 points earlier this week so we were a little nervous. But we sold our 50 point contract within an hour!!!:cool1:
