SOG Weddings and VR

I was just wondering if the bride or the groom had to be Military to do a Shades of Green Wedding or VR or can just anyone do a wedding there?

The bride and groom don't have to be in the military, but they do need to be sponsored by someone who is (or by a government employee). They don't have to be related, just willing to vouch for you.

I have heard you don't have to be "eligible" to stay there to have your wedding there. I was married there, but I have been staying there since it opened for the military. My dad is retired military, so we are "eligible" to stay there. Give them a call. They are wonderful to deal with. They will let you know one way or another.

There are some months they let non military have weddings and stay there, I think January? But call them and ask, they do allow it but only during low season.
