SOG Ressie - Anyone get "Option Letter"?

Just called to check on my SOG (Contemporary) ressie for Jan 2004. I made it just over 2 weeks ago & still hadn't received anything confirming it. After getting thru - she told me that Disney hadn't assigned me a confirmation # yet & asked if I received an "Option Letter." She said some people received these due to ressies already being made for SOG at that time. I asked if I would still be getting the Contemporary & she assured me I would. Did anyone out there receive an "Option Letter?" Did it offer a different resort due to overbooking?

Just wondering what was going on - she said Disney won't be assigning me a confirmation # until the last week of August/first week of September & they'll charge my deposit at that time. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?

I know that some people who had reservations at SOG got moved to POR instead of CR in the Jan-Mar dates. Most opted to go later and stay at SOG once it opens up. -HM
