SOG/Poly - beach for fireworks

hello,

we will be spending 9 days in october and staying at the Shades of Green, on our down days, can we walk over to the poly beach and relax and then watch the electrical pagent parade and watch wishes?

Sure - Disney is happy for people to visit the resorts. You can view easily from Poly or GF.

thank you, i remember we strolled around the grand floridian lback in 2005. question, how else are we supposed to view the electrical water parade?

I don't think the dock is considered "guests only," nor the Tiki Terrace with a beverage.

You could see it from the ferry dock at the TTC. That is public, not resort grounds.

My understanding is this rule is only enforced during special events, like the Fourth of July or Christmas. If I was the OP, I would feel free to enjoy the fireworks and the electric water parade.

When I was at the Poly (Aug 2015) The CM working the movie on the beach seemed to have no problem with people who aren't staying at the Poly to watch the fireworks on the beach. If there is any problem with the beach, there are other public places on property to watch the fireworks. There is the grassy area right next to Pineapple Lani that is completely public and a great place to watch the fireworks. Also, like the PP mentioned above, the Tiki Terrace is also a great place to catch the fireworks at the Poly.

As I said: Enforcement is inconsistent. The signs suggest specific rule, which is something I think is worth being aware of.

Disney enforces stuff or starts enforcing stuff rather by surprise on many occasions. The signs, however, are nowhere close to new.

We stayed at Shades of Green for New years. We called in advance to double check and were told we were always welcome at the resort, even as a SOG guest. It could have been the CM we spoke to but we have NEVER had an issue busy or not with utilizing Poly resources even the beach during firework time. We actually watched New Years fireworks there. Good luck!

Wow staying there at new year's eve......and watching the fireworks on NEw year's eve must be absolutely AMAZING!!!!!! I'd like to do that some year. i've seen the youtube videos of the NYE's fireworks.
