Soft sided cooler?

We will be bringing our lunches into the parks and have read that a soft sided cooler would be a good option that can be stored in a locker. For those who have done this, what size of a soft sided cooler did you use? Where are the lockers? Do they have lockers at each park? How much do they cost per day? Thanks!

The size of the soft cooler that you choose would really depend on the size of your party and what you expect to pack in the cooler. Obviously, anything bigger than the largest locker would be useless unless you plan to bring a stroller just to roller your cooler around the parks (yes, some people go to that length).

We use one every day we're at WDW. I don't know the exact size off the top of my head, but it's a lot like this one, but a bit bigger...

We need that size since we pack for a family of 5. And yes, as Marionnette mentioned, we're one of those families that "go to that length" and use an umbrella stroller to carry it in. It's ridiculously easy and SO much better than using a locker. The cooler fits perfectly in the seat of the stroller, and 95% of the time we just park it somewhere in stroller parking (in the shade if we can) and just leave it. When we're ready to eat, we come back and get it.

The lockers are at the front of the parks. You'll have to plan to walk all the way back to the front to get your cooler (it can be far if you don't plan ahead!)

I'd look around that site for something more reasonably sized for three people (unless you plan to haul three full meals every single day.) Also check amazon.

Although, it used to be have better front pockets, where you could stick things. If you can find an older one on ebay, that would be better.

This is more the way the blue one used to be with the front pockets. It was a great design. If you still have an old one, hold onto it!

We use the larger Thirty-One cooler. It is a great size for our family.

If you are doing it for allergy reasons, go ahead and buy your drinks, unless you are planning to use frozen water bottles as the ice. That will make it a LOT lighter to lug around.
Don't use frozen solid ice-packs, as they are heavy even when melted. Use baggies of ice if you can't freeze the drinks, because you can ditch that weight once the meal is eaten.

If you don't have to keep snacks and drinks cool, too, then a lunchbox cooler can easily hold 4 small sub sandwiches. I've done it at the beach many times. That will fit in a smaller locker.
