Soft Openings

We are going to WDW 5/15 to 5/22 and will miss the official reopenings of Soarin and Norway in Epcot. If a soft opening takes place how does word get out and where could I find out? Twitter, Facebook?

You can pretty much count on someone posting here if they get a shot at a soft opening. Then as mesaboy2 says above, it's just a matter of good timing on your part. When POTC went down for the refurb, it re-opened in dribs and drabs over a period of a week or more.

It's usually a case of being at the right place at the right time.

It is a matter of luck. Either you are in the area and see guests walking into the attraction or someone posts on social media and you get to the attraction while it is still open. A soft opening could last for a short period of time before the attraction is closed again so even if someone posts that the attraction is open it might be closed again when you arrive.

Wondering about this also. We will be there May 21-25 and have a PPO breakfast scheduled for the 25th at Norway...hoping for some pixie dust

In May 2014 we were in WDW when SDMT was opening. Official open date was announced as May 28th, at the beginning of May I was able to secure FP+ for May 29th. About a week before official opening they were running people on the ride in spurts. I believe we were able to ride a day or two before official opening day. People on this board will post if/when they start allowing people on. We are at WDW May 19th-26th, so I am hoping for the same luck with FEA.
