Soft Openings of New Rides @ DL?

Just wondering, know that the Toy Story ride will be opening this summer - sometime

@ WDW, typically; DVC & AP holders get notification of a soft opening for new rides (i suppose to work out the kinks as well as a perc) a few days before the general public...does DL do this too?

For most new attractions yes. However the time that the ride is in "soft opening" mode has varied largely from attraction to attraction. i.e. Nemo was only open for a couple days before official opening; whereas when Space Mountain reopened it soft opened for about a month.
