He used to alternate with Jojo & Goliath, while the Little Einsteins rotated with themselves. Manny replaced Goliath at Hollywood n Vine in 2010, which may be the date you're thinking of.

Speaking of HnV, any chance that they would rotate her in to replace June (Little Einsteins) andy time soon?

I also read a rumor on another blog site that suggested that soon Sophia and Doc McStuffins would be replacing Handy Manny and Little Einsteins in the Disney Junior Live on Stage Show at HS.

Why do they use mask, why not real face like other princesses, weird.

Probably because the character is a child.

Also I think its because she is more a cartoon character versus an animated person. She is drawn in a more anime style (overly large eyes) more like Lilo (also a mask character) vs Snow White.

One big thing is that I can't see Sofia joining any of the other "Disney Princess" TM at any kind of Character Meal or really anything. She would seem too out of place due to the mask and since she is in a mask, mute.

To quote another Disney female. She doesn't have a huge head she's just drawn that way.

But seriously, if you look at how she is drawn her head is as wide as her shoulders.

I guess as a cartoon character it ok but in real life it does look very odd. That's why I pointed out that she would never appear with other face characters.

It's really tough to do a child character as a face character when you can't use a child performer. Peter Pan, Wendy, and Alice scrape by, but their cartoon versions appear to be a bit older than Sofia.

I booked a meal at H&V in hopes that by September she'd be appearing there. I figure I can always cancel. Fingers crossed.
