Soda cans or bottles in parks

Does anyone know if cans or bottles are allowed in parks? Thanks!

I've never had a problem bringing in either aluminum cans or plastic bottles. I prefer bottles because they can at least be washed out and re-filled with water from the fountains.

As long as you don't have glass, you're fine. We prefer the plastic bottles since we can seal them back up and put them back in the cooler backpack to finish later. We've decided to jump in a short line after opening one before. Nice that we don't have to guzzle it down or throw it away.

Yes, cans and plastic bottles are fine. Glass is not allowed. Also, at Animal Kingdom I believe they disallow straws. I don't know that they would confiscate it if they had one with you, but they never provide them (excepting paper ones I think in some locations) because they could get into an animal enclosure.

I also don't know if they would confiscate them but paper straws are allowed if you need to have a straw (as well and raiding any quick service or starbucks for some).

Yes they will confiscate any plastic straws that they see. Upon entrance into AK I completely forgot about their paper straw operation and came in with my Starbucks frapaccino. As soon as I scanned my MB in I was told I'd have to throw my plastic straw away before I went further and they handed me a paper straw.

Respect why they do it but I hate those paper straws

Yep we've brought just about everything into all the parks (bottles, coffee cups, gas station slushes kids or sodas, refillable resort mugs, water bottles both plastic and reusable, cans) the only thing we've ever had confiscated were the plastic straws at animal kingdom. THey gave us a few paper straws for the kids' slushing though.
