Sod, Sod Everywhere...

We had sod installed today..any tips on keeping it pretty? What kind of watering schedule, etc?

Did you install it yourself? Pick it up yourself? The reason I ask is we just put in about 430sf over Labor Day weekend - installed ourselves but delivered by a company that sells only sod. They gave us instructions that basically said to water 2-3 times a day for the first 3-4 weeks (3 times if it is hot, 2 if not) then wean the watering down over the next few weeks. There was something about when to mow it, too, but I don't remember exactly what it was. I'll post again after I have a chance to check...

No it was installed as part of the contract on the new house we bought. Unfortunately I wasn't here when it was installed so I couldn't speak to the sod guys. The builder is usually in the neighborhood daily so I will ask him when I see him but until then I don't want to kill it! Thanks for your help.

We had 12 pallets installed if that helps any...

Do you have a sprinkler system?

Also, as long as you are online reading this, do a search for your local university's cooperative extension. Usually they will have information related to local issues like this. Since I am in Colorado, my information may not be as applicable to your situation.
