Has anyone ever gone to Dis for the 3v3 soccer tournament? Do they offer discounts on rooms and/or tickets? DS is in the local tournament and may end up advancing to Orlando. I'm trying to think ahead.

I have never done the soccer, but have done the baseball tournaments. Yes they do offer package deals on the room. Being that I am a passholder as well as a FL resident we didn't do the packages. His entire team didn't. Our rooms were cheaper as residents. They use to offer a package with LOE (length of event) pass & theme park pass with the room. They had different ones to choose from. You can try to do a search on the net for WDW Sports Complex. You will be able to get most of the info from that site. You will have to do a lot of searching on it for your event. They usually list the resorts & prices to choose from. They also even offer offsite hotels as well. If you are a passholder, you can do much better with those rates though. Hope this has helped you.

We were there this year. Yes, there are discounts. The travel planning and discounts are offered throught Get Travel. We went with a group. Our group rented a house off-site, which was cheaper than the discounts. But we stayed for 8 days instead of just the weekend. I bought my tickets from a ticket broker, it cost a little more, but we had extras on it, and they don't expire. I was planning ahead for next time. I am not sure what everyone else did. And with the MYW tickets it might be slightly different. I do reccommend you bring warm clothes. We got there on Thursday, it was 80 degrees. Friday, it dropped all day and was raining. Then freeze warnings at night. We only took one pair of jeans, and light jackets. We bought the kids a disney sweatshirt, and dressed in layers. But playing outside in 40 degree weather was not fun. Next time, I am taking a suitcase of winter clothes. Then I know I will not need them. Whenever I take warm clothes on vacation, I end up not using them.
You can go online and check the officail website for the 3v3 soccer. http://www.3v3soccer.com/Default.aspx
But, they probably won't have anything until about October. I am a planner. As soon as I knew we might be going, I started planning. I think I started this time, last year. But didn't get tickets until Dec., after I compared what they offered vs. buying park hoppers. If you have anyquestions, let me know and if I can answer them, I will. :sunny:

I will check my planning folders, and see if I still have any info from last year. I can't say if I do or not, but will look. I tend to get rid of stuff when I am finished with it. I'll see what I can come up with. :sunny:

How do teams get into the tournements at the Disney sports complex?? Do they just register or do they have to be asked? Our kids are in the State tourny this weekend, but if they had a chance to go to Disney, they would be even more excited.

With the 3v3 tournament, they advance from regionals. As for states, that would be as far as they could go, unless they have nationals. And then it would be wherever the nationals are held. The only thing I could tell you, is to talk to your coaches and see if they would be interested in getting registered and going to a regional 3v3 tournament. http://www.3v3soccer.com/Default.aspx We just had a local one here last weekend. But you do not advance from locals. You actually have to go to the regional and advance. We are not doing it this year. Last year, the closest regional to us was Dayton. About 5 hours away. We all went and stayed the weekend. This year it is Niagra Falls. Love to go, but with everyone just going this year, decided not to.

Also, talk to your coach about any other tournaments that are available. Some others might be heading to Disney.

Good luck at states! :sunny:

We are planning to attend the soccer tournament that's held in May/June next year. It will be my job to plan for it... ugghh! Hopefully I will be able to keep everyone organized but appreciate any advice in doing so!

Which soccer tournament is that? Our coaches are always looking for tournaments to go to. I am just looking for ways to get me back to Disney.

Thanks. :sunny:

I have a pdf file of the brochure, it has some packages listed and costs. It is over 900k, but I can email it to you. Let me know. They might be different this year, but it will give you an idea. I haven't checked my planning folders yet. I know they also had tickets only, but that doesn't seem to be in the brochure.

For this tournament, anyone can register in their local tournament. The 5 best advance to the regionals, and the 5 best at regionals advance to Disney.

But playing outside in 40 degree weather was not fun.

We're in Chicago, so I'm used to this, but I don't expect on when I am FL!
