SoCal weather!

Wowwwwww....as much I don't want to share the 1.5 lane road w/ others, that sure is a pretty sight! And in AZ no less!! Saw pics on AZFamily that were impressive as well. Maybe we can get up to the snow next weekend...we'll be in DL the following week!

The clouds in the valley are crazy low - it's almost ominous except the sun is shining!

I think the roads will be much better next weekend. We live on a "priority" road, so ours is usually kept as clear as possible, and the sun at this elevation seems to melt the road quickly. I think our totals were 4 1/2 feet or so. Several businesses' roofs caved in, but it sure is pretty if you don't have to go anywhere. Have fun if you come up next weekend!

I live in Arizona too! Happy to see sunshine today..nice after all that rain.

I leave for DL Feb 1st...and staying all week, hoping we don't get dumped on. I checked the weather report on msn.com, and it looks like we may be in for some storms that week..ugh

I really thought it was going to get over the 5 ft mark - hopefully businesses can get up & running soon & life gets back to normal quickly! Do the kids have snow days up there?
I'll keep my fingers crossed for a day trip! We may do White Mountains bc they hwy is easier from Scottsdale...

4 1/2 feet/5 feet at this point seems the same; although, we are supposed to get another 4-6 inches on Wednesday. I know Bookman's has already said that they will rebuild. I have not heard about Joann's (my favorite fabric store). The paper implied that the ice rink may not be rebuilt. I know that it took 6 months or more to rebuild Hastings after it collapsed because of snow last year, so it may be a long road.

Have fun in the snow no matter which direction you go, and have a great time at DL!

I heard about the ice rink,I love hockey, and feel bad for the team and it's fans. That's really a shame

Figured I'd resurrect this thread to ask this question...

Anyone know if Accuweather.com or weather.com was closer to the CA weather?

I'm looking at both & our dates show some rain but there's like a 6 degree difference...I know it sounds like noting but 63..I'm in a coat & 69 I'm in shorts!!! I feel I won't be packing until the night before - weather's been so up & down.

And when they say "showers" do the SoCalers have a source they're using that is a little more specific? I'm seriously paranoid after the last storm.
