In December we are trying to plan a So. Cal trip (w/SoCal CityPass). I would like some input....
What I was thinking was:
Fly into San Diego - Do the Zoo, Seaworld & Lego Land.... My parents are coming with - if they choose not to do Lego Land, anything else for them to do, or is there rides, etc for adults too???

Also, any hotel recommendations in San Diego? If the weather will be colder at night in San Diego - we will want an indoor pool (if possible). Even a Suite to split w/my family & parents (3 in my fam & 2 for the parents).

Then up to Anaheim for DL, will probably split our days & go up to Universal, or do Universal 1st then save the best for last.

3 or 4 days in DL?? Only 1 kid & she will be 7, my husband & I & my parents (57 & 67) Fairly good health - walked during WDW trip in 06 - only needed wheelchair for Epcot.

I have read on this site & add or correct please:
at DL the hours are shorter in Dec.
the parades, fireworks & Fantasmic only runs Fri, Sat, Sun in Dec.
Stay away from the 1st week of Dec. - early closures for staff parties?
Anything I have missed?

Then fly out of LAX or John Wayne.

What package to go with:
So Calif City Pass (tickets only & make hotels on own)
So Calif City Pass Pkg (tickets & hotels)
Alaskan Air Pkg - kids fly free & they help book trip??? (don't see So Calf w/this though)
Disney off site package & add So Calif City Pass
Whats best, whats cheapest, whats easiest????

Any advise will help - never been to DL or California since I was 3.

Thanks for any & all help!:yay:

ok to your first question...I cant answer about hotels in SD but seeing as your daughter is 7..I would skip lego land...its more for toddlers...the zoo and sea world are nice..

as far as days at DL...If you can do 4 I would suggest it..your pretty spot on about the others in regards to parades, dates etc...this past year they closed the park on the 4th and 5th for the cm party which was on monday and tues...so if you go after those dates you should be fine...but I would recommend not too much after the 15th or so because then its gonna start really picking up in the crowds

as far as packages...do you have Costco and are you a member? they have great deals and you can add the city pass on to it...booking through wdtc as well...I would look into Alaska airlines because they usually have good deals...also look at www.getaway.com they have add ons and alot of people on this board uses them...hope this helps:goodvibes
