All I ever dreamed about when I was little was a day in a water park WITHOUT lines!!! Oh the agony, all those hundreds of people in line in front of me.

So flash forward to last years trip. My dh and I and Typhoon Lagoon. And the place was practically empty. :earseek: 75* weather, it was a perfect day. So we hit the slides. And all those stairs. With no slow moving climb up them. Good Grief!!!! Not only that but the racer slide just about scared me to death. However, there was one saving grace!! :Pinkbounc The Wave Pool!!! Waaahooooo!! Love at first sight! My dh had to drag me out at the end of the day.

I have looked forward to getting back into that pool for an entire year and now I find out they are closed for our entire trip!!! *Sob*!

I guess the point of this tragic post is to find out if BB is just as fun. Considering I didnt really dig the water slides, do they have a wave pool too? What about a beach?

Any help would be appreciated!!
TIA

I love TL but several times when we went it was closed. So we had to go to BB. It is very nice but to us it didn't have the same feel as TL.

You might find you like it better since it has more slides. But for us BB will always be second to TL.

Have a great time.

No offense to TL, but we love BB. It's a fabulous place...great for adults...great for kids...wonderful atmosphere. (Just think of it as the opposite of TL....instead of tropical warmth...arctic cold!)
Has more attractions than TL in my opinion....smaller wave pool...but overall, in our family's opinion, better than TL.
The best news is, you'll still be having a great time away from work and the stress of home!!

We liked both, but BB was our favorite. I love the tropical theme at TL, but Disney really did a fantastic job of theming BB. There is something for every age group.

Yes, BB has a big wave pool. We actually liked it better than TL. The slides were more medium sized so my kids, 5 and 6 and non swimmers could go on them. We got bored at TL cuz it didn't seem like there was as much for the younger set and the baby area was too babyish.

So what's everyone's opinion on being able to go to BB in mid February? i.e. is it warm enough?

Like I said in the OP, we've never been to BB. However, it was way more then warm enough for TL last Feb. Actually I got terribly sunburned thinking it wasnt that bad.

The average for Feb. is 72 degrees.

We never miss a day at the water park and we always go in Feb.

We love both parks, with TL being our favorite because of the tropical theming. There is a lot less shade at BB, an advantage this time of year! We aren't big on the slides, but the family raft ride is great & the lazy river is long & wide-with lots of sunny areas. There is even a ski lift to take you to some of the slides. Have a great trip!!
