Soaring over...

The California version is so beautiful. It was my favorite ride for years as well. I still listen to the soundtrack every once in a while. I had high hopes for the World version but the distortion is beyond ridiculous. They could just run California on one side of the building and World on the other side, permanently! I really don't see any reason why the World version has to be in DCA when it's already running in Florida. Just leave it there, and let DCA have something special. :)
Complete ditto!

It's too bad they don't do that. A friend and I have talked about that and why they don't run both. Especially in WDW where they have 3 screens now they could easily run Cali on one screen at all times.

I was glad Cali was running last summer when we were at DCA so we got to see it again.

I'm ridiculously excited for this. The World is great, but you can also see it at WDW. I loved California because it was unique to DLR/DCA.

We road it early on Friday and the scents seemed off. We smelled the orange scent during the river scene near the beginning. My daughter and i both looked at each other during the ride. Later that day and the rest of the weekend it was fine though. So glad we got to see it on this trip.

I think that was wishful thinking.

I believe the change is only through the end of F&W (Apr 21)
Oh bummer! I'm going in May and I was so excited thinking we would get the CA version! I LOVE that, could ride it over and over, the soundtrack is so beautiful, but the World version.....eh, not terrible, but I don't love it.

Ok so I haven’t been on Soarin over Anything in years.... I believe I read somewhere that there is a preferred section or row for the best viewing but can’t find it now. Any ideas?
I skipped it the last time we were there two years ago because my youngest was too small and I didn’t want to bother with rider swap. We will be there next week and it will be the first time my boys are both big enough so that we can all ride together as a family. My DS4 is a bit of a scaredy-cat so it may be the one and only time we ride it… Want to make it worth it! LOL!

Row B1 is the best row. There are 9 sections: A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3, C1, C2, and C3. B is the center and A and C are on the sides. Anything that isn’t row 1 leaves you watching feet dangling and anything that isn’t the center will leave you watching twisted landmarks. A3 and C3 are the worst because you see the edge of the screen and the person operating the ride.
