Hiya,

Visiting in Aug, seen some threads about Soarin. Just wondering what it is? I'm assuming its new because i dont think i saw it last year!

Can anyone tell me anything about it plz? :cool1:

Soarin' is amazing!! You sit in a 3-tier hang-glider thing and "fly" over an Imax-type movie of California scenery. It is SO MUCH FUN!! There is hardly any motion at all and it's very gentle...as tame as it is it is my family's new favorite WDW attraction. If you can, sit in row 1 - it goes up the highest so there are no feet dangling in front of you from other rows! :flower:

You'll love it. The lines will be long, so get fast passes, and get them early before they are all gone.

Try to think of O Canada, with Smell-O-Vision, combined with the (retired) Skyway, and on steroids.

It was better than we expected. Next time we are going to try and get in the 1st row. A fast pass is the way to go! We can't wait to return in October and take all the kids on this 'uplifting' ride. Just wish it was longer in time...

I loved this ride and so did my DH and my DD6 who got to ride it twice because we had a rider swap b/c of my DD3. That being said, GET A FASSPASS, like the other posters said. When I was there the last week of May I saw stand by waits with times of 120 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As awesome as it was, it was not worth wating 2 hours. We got a fastpass @noon and we couild not come back until 5:00 or so but that workd for us!
Enjoy! :cool1:

When we were there 2 weeks ago, the wait for the ride said 90 minutes. It was the only time we could go on it with my SIL, so we decided...what the heck...we'll wait! It turned out that it was not a 90 minute wait, but about a 5 minute wait. Right after we got off, it looked like the line was really long, but are we glad we didn't get scared off by the wait sign! It was really a great ride and I can't wait to go back and do it again!

We went on the ride when it first opened in CA. There was not one person in our party, or one person we heard in line who's expectations were not exceeded.

Also rode Soarin' in CA and it was the only ride we went on twice- don't miss it.

We just got back home yesterday and Soarin was so much more than I expected!!! We loved it and rode it 6 times in the 10 days we were there. We would arrive at Epcot around 8:30 and wait for the opening. We followed the CMs over to Soarin, grabbed FastPasses and then rode. The FastPasses were gone for the day around 2pm. They did offer another chance to get a PastPass for EMH....At 9pm there were loooong lines at the machines, just waiting for the CMs to take the covers off. This is such a great addition to Epcot and I know you'll love it!!! :goodvibes :flower: :goodvibes :flower: :goodvibes

Soarin' is my "new" favorite at Disney!! I absolutely loved it. Rode it 3 times during an 8-day trip at the end of May. Try to get Row 1, Section B. Front and center!!! Awesome view!! You'll love the ending!!!
