Soarin' is no longer the "must do first" attraction it once was.
The current film is less popular with guests,
and with three theaters, the attraction can handle many more guests than in the past.
Yeh when I was there in October, I was off on my fast pass time. The CM told me to just walk on in as there was practically no wait. This was more mid afternoon
If you are interested in riding Frozen Ever After I'd do THAT at RD and then do Soarin in standby line or its actually decently easy to get Soarin as a 4th FP+.
If you're not interested in Frozen then sure yep head to Soarin since you already hav ea FP for TT.
We have been so disappointed with the new film, and it's interesting to hear from Robo above that it sounds like others are as well. I mean, come on Disney: you couldn't see ahead of time that the Eiffel Tower would be curved? That the new version has no story? That the new music doesn't speak to people like the old version did? It just feels like a cheap imitation. We no longer make it a point to go to Soarin'. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Interesting... My family certainly prefers the new film (even though the Eiffel Tower does look awful).
But wait time is certainly down (we come to WDW once a year, so differences are very noticeable), so we must be in minority...
So if on our arrival day we get to Epcot around 12:30/1...Do you folks suggest FP+ for Soarin' or TT? We are all able to do single rider TT so I was leaning towards a FP for Soarin. Not interested in FEA. One and done for us with adult kids.

We have never tried the old version, but the one on now is my favorite ride at wdw. Like it better than fop even.
OP, we plan to do the same thing, RD soarin and get fp for tt. Maybe even get a second ride on soarin at rd if lucky
I would still get there early for RD, but you shouldn't have any problem getting in. Our last trip, we came in through the IG at RD and had a wait of 10 minutes.
If it's a normal-ish day you should be fine to RD Soarin. We went in early December and RD TT, then did Soarin second and the line was only about 10 mins long. Used our FP for FEA, even as an adult I still love it!
It's strange, isn't it? The greatest minds in theme park technology on the planet and they didn't see this coming??? We were lucky to be seated near the center the first few times we saw it and there was no issue. The we got seated all the way to the end of a row last time Disney should be embarrassed by this.
