This was the first time we had been on this ride and let me say it was AWESOME!

Everyone who had made comments about it being there favorite ride I can definitely understand why.

However let's talk about the wait times. We got down to the Land at around 10am one morning and the fastpass time was 2:30pm. At that time there was a 75 min wait for standby. When we got back at 2:30pm all of the fastpasses had been given out for the entire day. There was a 60 min wait for standby.

Later that week we went back to Soarin to get a fastpass around 12pm and we got a fastpass for 3:45pm when we got back at our time - totally out of fastpasses.

So a word of advice, if you are looking to do Soarin while you are in Epcot fastpass it immediately upon entering Epcot and then go around to the other areas of the park while you wait for the fastpass time.

Also besure you read your fastpass because we waited until the 3:45 pass was up before we realized that it indicated we could have gotten another fastpass after 2:11. We could have gotten a test track fastpass instead of waiting for it.

No ride is worth more than a 30 minute stand-by time. As much as I love Soarin',if I'm not with my mother, who has a G.A.C.,I won't ride it if the wait time is more than 30 minutes.

We usually get FP's and ride it once in the morning. This ride always gives me a smile. I love the sights and smells! Very fun!

At 11:30 on Thursday November 30th, stand by line was 60 minutes. Not expected. Luckily we were able to get FP for 2:45.

We just got back from our trip, and it might be because it has been hyped up, but I wasn't as impressed with it as I had hoped. I wouldn't wait more than 30 minutes.

Should always be everyone's first stop after rope drop. 174 people will ride within the first 5 minutes, so it's fairly easy to avoid a long wait if you plan well.

We are always amazed by the line waits as well. Even when the park seems empty, the lines seem to be long for Soarin.

We love Soarin!! We will be there to ride it in 4 days!!!

We were in Epcot on Saturday and it was a 120 minute wait! Needless to say, we skipped it :)

Our biggest gripe about Soarin' isn't about the ride, either. It's because you have to walk all the way through the Land (hopefully not at lunch because then it's really mobbed) and over to Soarin' to see (1) if FastPasses are still available or (2) if the return time is something that will work for you. That's a long walk. We wish Disney would put a board outside to let you know what the times are. Or move the FastPass machines up near the entrance with a sign saying what the standby wait is.

I totally agree! Why can't they have a sign outside of the land with wait times?

I have been saying this very same thing since Soarin opened. They can very easily put another entrance to the land between Imagination, I noticed this when I was backstage, when I took the Undiscovered Future World Tour. They would need to relocate those bathrooms near the entrance to Soarin. But that shouldn't be a problem. The new entrance would also eliminate the need to walk up that long ramp outside then go down the stairs. Which always has a bottle neck at the top from people criss crossing.

Obviously I have given this way too much thought. :rotfl2: I need to get a life.

There's the giant information board in the middle of future world that displays all the current wait times for the attractions. You could probably ask the CM there what the fastpass return times are.

While that board is great if you are just entering the parks it doesn't help when you are coming from the Seas or Imagination.

I just love it!

But, I have to say that every ride I have ever ridden for the first time that has had a wait time of 60 min. or more, I didn't like or thought was just 'fair'. The shorter the wait time, the more I seem to fully enjoy the ride.

So, I have learned to definitely try the ride again at another time to fully experience it without the wait & stress. It's funny, even when I know the line will be long & I try to "psych myself" into not letting it bother me, the long wait times ultimately overpower the short ride experience & I usually don't care for the ride.

This has happened with several rides that have now become some of my favorites -- Space Mt., Test Track, Expedition Everest.

I love this ride, too. Last trip was our first time on the ride, and we went on it several times.

They actually do have a sign that is put outside when the FP's run out.

We just got back & had to miss Soarin. We didn't get over to Epcot until noon & by the time we got to Soarin there were no FP left, and a 75 min. wait. The next day at Epcot, same thing. So unless you want to wait in a long line get your FP first thing!

This is nothing unusual. Just make sure it's your first stop at Epcot in the morning.

Any topic about Soarin' always sucks me in! :goodvibes

I've said it many times ...
it's not a ride ...
it's a religious experience! :cloud9:
