We are planning to do Soarin at rope drop on a regular day (9am open). Approximately what time should we expect to be finished with it? We don't mind getting to the park early, and plan to go straight to Soarin, but we have 3 kids (one in a stroller), and have no intention of running or pushing or anything of the sort to get to the very front. Just trying to plan for what we do next, timing-wise, and wasn't sure what to expect.

Depends on factors like what time of year, where you are in the RD crowd, how many theaters they have running, etc. Given you're with kids & have a stroller, I'd guess you'd be a little farther back & would have at least a 20 minute standby wait.

I would say you'd be done somewhere around 9:30-9:45am, depending on how many people run right to Soarin'. FYI...you don't need to do rope drop if they have all 3 theaters running. The line will stay under 40 minutes for at least the first hour or so Epcot is open.

We are going next week. So should we expect to be done by 9:30, or should we plan for more time?

Both mornings we did rope drop at Epcot, they did the rope drop by 8:40 (so get there early!). The first morning, they let us all loose in the park right away! We did Soarin', and were off by 9:12...with only a 10 minute wait for a second ride!

For rope drop this week, they let us in around 8:40 again, but had a second rope drop inside. They didn't allow us in until right around 9:00. We were off Soarin at 9:32.

We were there on Sat. We also have 3 kids but no stroller. They let us in and lined up inside the park at 8:50. We stopped and got in line for Joy and Sadness and were 3rd in line for that before heading to Soar'n. We hit Soar'n at about 9:10 and waiting about 8 minutes to get on the ride. So if you cut out Joy and Sadness I would say you could be in and out in 30 or less in medium crowds.
