I need some help fellow Disboarders! :cheer2:

I am in the middle of planning / fine-tuning our itinerary for early May. The crowd level (according to touringplans.com) is a 6 the whole time we are there. We wanted to go to EPCOT the first day, but won't arrive until 11-12:00. Do you guys think there will be any FPs left for Soarin' at that time?

We were at Disney in Nov., and hit part of Veterans day weekend/Jersey week. The FPs for Soarin were gone by 10:00 those days! Hoping early May won't be nearly as crowded that day. :woohoo:

It is a Sunday (if that matters) and a non-EMH day at EPCOT. We don't care how late at night the return time is, since we are staying all day. We just REALLY want to ride, but don't want to spend 2+ hours waiting in the standby line. :thumbsup2

So what do you guys think? Will there be any FPs left at this time or will they all be gone? Thanks for the imput! :goodvibes

Only 30 days & countin'!!! :hourglass

We got Fastpasses around noon on 3/26 (we just got back yesterday). Our return time was 8:30 pm.
We were in the Land several times during the week and saw Standby wait times posted as 50 to 90 minutes during the week. I don't recall any 2 hour waiting times posted.

We saw the 2 hour wait time after it opened but haven't seen it since. We have also seen FP's available later in the morning but the return times are late at night when we wouldn't be there.

When we were at EpCot 3/29 & 30 we saw wait time for Soarin at 175minutes!

The wait time for Soarin when we were there in Nov. was like 150 minutes and the FPs were gone by 10:00. It was THAT crowded!

Hoping early May will be less so - any other thoughts? :thumbsup2

Last year early May wasn't bad at all. And, I can tell you I did get an FP for Soarin in the late morning (they hadn't run out yet). My return time was only a few hours later-I remember it was mid afternoon.

Since then I can tell you in December, more than a week before Christmas they were out of FPs by 10:30-11:00. Right now it's very busy at WDW so it wouldn't surprise me that they'd run out of them early.

HOPING, that this May is like it was last May (we'll be there the last few days of April and first few of May). I know many of the resorts are booked but I am also aware of a lot of conventions that are going on. Last May 5th was the Happiest Celebration kick off and they even closed different parks early each night for press events when we were there and the crowds were still pretty low, so we'll see what happens. I'll be more than happy to post an update when we come back. Looks like we'll be back just before you leave.

FP's were also gone early in the AM when we went last October. We finally decided to wait in line instead of continuing to hope for a fast pass. To our surprise the wait time was not what they said it was. We went on three times during our trip and all three times the time we actually waited in line was about half the time they had posted. The line moves pretty fast. If wait time is less than 1 hour and you can't get FP, you might want to try waiting in line.

This attraction really fills up fast. We were at EPCOT last Wednesday. We got to the park at 9:30 at the back entrence walked straight to Soarin for a Fastpass. The line was already a 70 minute wait. Fastpasses were being distributed for 11:45. I got our fastpasses and went to watch Crush over in the Living Seas. We didn't have to wait long there at all. By the way they really did a nice job with the Living Seas refurbishment. Some of the exhibits are really cool!

My suggestion would be to get a Fastpass as soon as possible in the morning and wait for your ride time while going on less popular attractions like The Living Seas, Figment, etc.

We are going to hustle! :thumbsup2

Our plane is supposed to land at MCO at 9:30 (we've always been early before so here's hoping, but I understand we may not be). Going to drop the bags off at the hotel and check-in and be on the next bus to EPCOT. That's why I'm thinking we'll get to EPCOT around 11-12:00. Here's hoping there are some FPs left! :cheer2:

At night, I walked right on to Soarin. Twice. You should try Soarin at night right before Epcot closes for minimum wait.

Just got back from Epcot last week. Waits for Soarin were ridiculous - 120 minutes. Fast passes were gone by11:00 am. I felt so sorry for the Soarin Cast Members, as people were screaming at them - but what could they do? :confused3

Don't know what the answer is - camp out in front of Epcot gates at 5:00am, I guess.

BTW - wait time for Expedition Everest was the same - Animal Kingdom has never had this much foot traffic before this attraction!!

we arrived there last sat around noon and got FP for 6pm. we tried to go again late at night another day wait times were over 90 min(8pm). every other time we tried FP were gone and wait times were huge! WE absolutely loved it though!
