If we are entering Epcot via the International Gateway just as the park opens, which is the best way to get there (through rose garden or main "entrance" between World Showcase and Future World? Also, are we kinda at a disadvantage with regard to distance if we enter from International Gateway versus main entrance?

::MickeyMo Hmm...I'd say head to left, past the UK, Canada, etc. because it's in the Land. A brisk walk is quicker than the water taxi's I'd say. I definitely think it's closer to the main entrance. I don't think you're at a disadvantage though. Most people head straight towards Mission Space and Test Track. ::MinnieMo

I don't think that is necessarily true. Soarin' is pulling in a LOT of guests, I'd venture to say a lot more then MS, as more people are able to ride Soarin' as opposed to MS, which is a little more what I would classify as a "thrill" ride. :teleport:

::MickeyMo True, but depending on the age groups and what not, it's sometimes all about the thrill rides. I guess it's all about what the people want to do first and how long it takes to get there. ::MinnieMo

Hmmm...as other folks have posted, I don' t know if there is an advantage or disadvantage from the IG. Enter and go through the UK and Canada and take the first left past the refreshment stand, past, what I think you are calling the Rose garden, and on to the Land. If the wait is not too long head on in and go with the "queue left" strategy, if you can. If the wait is too long grab a fast pass and do MS or what ever.

I rode Soarin' 4 or 5 times mid-September and this worked well for me but I was solo and there seems to be room for a single rider/Fast Passers very often. The distance may be a tad longer but World Showcase should not be as crowded at opening as the main gate, especially if you get there well ahead of opening. If you go the Fast Pass route, I was able to do MS and the World of Energy (haven't been in some time) and then hit Soarin' with a minimal wait. Enjoy and watch for those hidden Mickeys!

I would say Soarin is busier these days!! Labor day weekend we didn't have a wait for Soarin, then Oct 3rd, fast pass was out for Soarin' and the wait was over 50 mins. Walked on to mission space both times.
