Soarin' location....

Can anyone tell me about Soarin'. I feel like I've been in a cave?

I've picked up bits and pieces here but I am confused. I thought I read they were taking out part of Residential St. @ the Studios Backlot Tour for this ride, but now I read they closed Food Rocks for Soarin'. That's 2 different parks!!??!!

I am confused!! Can someone clue me in Please?

It is in Epcot - Food Rocks was taken out to be the queue area for the new ride

The backlot residential street at MGM was taken out for the new motor cars stunt show

Soarin is going to be part of the Land pavillion in EPCOT.From what I understand the entrance will be where Food Rocks theater use to be located.

The Backlot has been closed for the building of Motor Stunt Show which opens in 2005.

Soarin is one of the hit attractions at DCA. It is a simulated ride in a hang glider with chairs over various beautiful locations in California.

It was conceived by Tony Baxter on a paper napkin in a "restaurant". When the final product was reviewed by Disney management, it was decided that the other three parks would immediately add the attraction. Originally, the concept was that each park would have a different "experience", meaning a different film. I don't know if this concept has been altered in view of recent events.

Although Soarin' over California is not really a thrill ride, it is a relaxing and beautiful experience, and deserves to be shared with the guests at the other parks!
