We will be arriving mid afternoon Sun 3 July (yes....). any chance there will still be Soarin FPs left by then?:rolleyes1

Not a chance. That being said, even on the 2nd day of the new version, we didn't wait longer than maybe 25 minutes in the standby line, even when the wait time display said 40 minutes.

Thanks - sounds like we need to zip across some time the next morning (if standby is out of hand!).

Since the new one debuted, I've NEVER seen FP availability on the iphone app. Granted, I haven't looked first thing, but, when I've looked, RSR FPs have been in the early-late afternoon. Do Soarin' FPs really run out that early now? That's going to totally shake up my plan. Add in Frozen (which I believe is disconnected - someone, please confirm!), and that's going to shake up my plan, which I need to finalize because we're heading out on Sunday, and I have three dance recitals between now and then.

You should be fine depending on the definition of mid afternoon. Soarin for some reason doesn't show up on the app as ever having fast passes. In the past week it looks looks like Soarin return times are usually 3 hours ahead of when you get it. Today the return time was for at 325 when I got it at 1230. Frozen will probably be an impossible fast pass as the 135 showing was gone at around 10 and Id assume the 2 later showings would be gone by noon. On the bright side, frozen and soarin have taken alot of pressure off of Racers and loosened up the fast pass return times and regular line nicely. Racers was only a 25 minute wait until a little after ten today.

However, the OP is going to be there on a holiday weekend.

Sure, but I don't see it being significantly more crowded next weekend than it is this weekend. I don't think people that can go this weekend are thinking well what if we come on 4th of July weekend instead. It's summer break already and crowds will be here every weekend. Not to mention it will probably be in the 90's in Anaheim which will feel like a 100.

Anything in the 3-4 range would probably be pushing it for a fast pass, but as you said the line really isn't that bad.

I was there last Saturday, and there were completely gone by about 2:30. Summer break or not, I'm thinking there will be even bigger crowds with a long weekend. A few years back I visited around the 4th because it meant not having to use a vacation day.

We were there Saturday- Wednesday this week. We never had a problem getting fastpass. On Sunday we tried to get them in the morning and the line was really long for fastpass. I refused to stand in line to avoid standing in line. Seemed counterproductive. We went back later and did not have a problem getting passes. On Monday I got them around 2 in the afternoon, with a 6-7 pm return time. We were a few minutes late, after watching the 5:50 frozen show, but did not a problem using them. I should add, I picked up the frozen passes around the same time. I got orchestra seating. This was, however, the super hot day, so crowds were a bit light.

I will add, that as someone else already said, fast pass availability does not show up on the app for this ride. The rest of the app seemed accurate.

We were there last week during the opening, and even though the app was showing no FPs available, there were. The wait times were under an hour 90% of the time, usually around 35 - 40 minutes posted, and the one fastpass we got for it around noon on Monday 6/20 was for 2:15 (the posted wait was 40 minutes).

This is really interesting and helpful...especially the app info which I was going to rely on. Looks like we'll have to go and see for ourselves. any hot picks on best FPS for busy afternoons?:daisy:

All the other attractions with FP are likely to have relatively short lines. Still - you might try getting something like California Screaming' Fps just to reduce the wait in line if it's hot.

I'm currently looking at the app on my Android - Friday at 3:18 pm, it shows a 40 min standby and a FP return time of 7:25-8:25 pm. Maybe it's just the iPhone version that's not showing it?

It's so weird because me and hubby both have the same iPhone6S Plus and his shows the FP time for Soarin and mine doesn't so weird LOL

Hmm. I have an iPhone 6S, and my hubby has a 6S Plus. I'll have to see, when he gets back in town tomorrow, what his says. Mine shows no FPs for Soarin' at all.

If you look closely it will say " Now distributing" in grey out text just above " Fastpass isn't available" , even 5-10 minutes after opening. I think it's just a bit wonky.

Lol after typing that it never shows up on the app, it started showing up the past two days so thats a nice change. I can confirm fast passes were at 650-750 at 3 yesterday.

I've been tracking all the FPs today hourly since 11 AM.

RSR ran out sometime between 1 and 2

As of 5 PM PST:

Space is the closest to running out out, with a return time of 9:30

Indy - 8:45

Soarin - 8:00

Splash - 7:30

Star Tours - 7:00

Everything else had a return time of under an hour, most at around 30 minutes.

I'm sure the 4th will look nothing like this, but this seems to be par for the course in the summer, plus it was a Saturday.

*Edit* Update at of 6 PM, Soarin FPs are now gone. Everything else about the same.

Actually, that looks pretty good to me, even factoring in extra crowds! thanks!
