Soarin' looks pretty tame. Am I wrong? My 5 year old loves geography and I thought he might enjoy "flying" over California. Is there a height restriction? Would you take your 5 year old on? Much thanks!

Just got back last night from 9 days at the parks. Son will be 5 in June and did Soarin' and LOVED it. He also did Splash Mountain, Thunder Canyon, and Tower of Terror (twice on each of these).....and I thought he would have been scared to death of these things! Boy was I proven wrong!!

Soarin' is the tamest of all these rides. You just sit with your feet hanging down and it feels like you're moving, but you're hardly moving at all really. Can't remember the height restriction, but he's around 44". Also, the smell-effects are great! Have fun!

My 6 yr old and 3 yr old loved it--I was scared!!!! Go figure.

Just got back Sunday. My almost 3yr old loved soarin. The height requirement is 40 inches,

I did notice when riding it last week that there was a height restriction. I'm sorry that I don't know the inches but I did see the ruler type sign at the entrance to the ride....saying you needed to be at that height...
I would have guessed that the three year old would have been shorter than the sign I saw so maybe they are not strict about it.

My dd4 loves it up until the last firework 'BOOM'. She doesn't like loud noises, It's a loud effect, and it sort of blows you back a little. She's ridden it twice. Loved it the first time through, and the firework didn't bother her too much. The second time I think she built it up and was crying a little. I think she'll work through this... I hope it's just a phase. She was aprehensive yesterday in Muppets because she knew the cannon was coming :confused3

I wish my dd was taller! She is almost 3 and only 30 inches! Of course the 30" ruler at Goofy's Barnstormer says she is only 27 inches :confused3 I think it's going to be a long time before she can ride Soarin' :guilty: Hmmm...how long does it take to grow 10 inches?? Maybe she will have a growth spurt!

My DD just turned 6 a couple of weeks ago. We rode Soarin' for the first time over the weekend. She liked it but thought it was too tame and liked test track better.

I believe the height requirement is 40"
