Very cool news. Our next visit is mid August 2016. Assuming the ride will re-open by then, it's going to make Soarin' a must do again!

Gonna be rough trying to ride Test Track for those six months...Am I the only one who wishes they would have used some of that HS money for Epcot upgrades instead?? We love World Showcase and can spend a whole day there, but the kids need a little more than that during our week long stay.

Can you imagine the lines for test track. Right now in the morning they split. Now everyone will go that way. The FP will be gone at or before 60 days!

Our trip is in March....my five year old is going to hate this. Soarin' is her favorite ride. With that being said, I think we are just going to spend a half day at Epcot this year and then hit MK with FP+ in the evening.

It is expected to open in the spring, so yes.

We were thinking of upgrading our 8 day hoppers in November to APs for a trip in May 2016 ... maybe not looking like such a good idea. HS half closed. Epcot's majors half 2/3rds closed (if you include maelstrom, if not 1/2 close) ... um ... maybe not.

Yeah and do not forget that Big Thunder Mountain will be closed in MK during that time! We are already committed to going then otherwise I would be reconsidering!

Other than soarin, what else is closed at epcot? I don't see anything on the refurbishment list for HS. Am I missing something? People keep talking about cancelling/rescheduling their trip, but is there ever a time when every single ride/attraction is open?

Much of DHS is closed for the build out of Star Wars and Toy Story. Soarin' is a good ride but the new film and technology is needed. I didn't think they would be closed for that long but I'm looking forward to what will be opening after the refurb. 6 months is a small price to pay for the update IMO.

Wow, Test Track is going to start running out of FP at the 60 day mark with Soarin' closed. I was going to push my husband to consider a trip in the spring, but maybe we should wait until the fall this year. I finally worked up the nerve to ride Soarin' this year. I was worried about motion sickness and a fear of heights, but it was so amazing and is now my favorite ride. I wouldn't normally plan my trip around a ride closure but for this one I might consider it.

We are going in May and staying at the Poly as well! My kids have not been for a few years DD was only 12 months and DS was 5, so if I don't make an issue out of soarin and BTTM it they might not realize. Now if Kali went down we would have an issue, that is DS fave! This almost makes Epcot a non issue for us, if I get FP for TT great if not well then we will just hit nemo etc and spend more time in WS, my kids are dying to do Agent P. I am bumed about it but I guess I will try to make the best of it. Frozen would be nice, if we would get the FP
