Soarin' and children?

Just wondered, for anyone who's been on Soarin' over California, is this appropriate for younger children? I know it moves, but I can't seem to find this anywhere. Are there height restrictions? Would it be scary in any way? I have a will be 7, 4 and 1 year old.

I don't think the 4 and 1 year old would enjoy it. You are lifted in the front row 40 ft. off the ground and it simulates being in a hang glider.

It had a 40" height restriction and a 3 year old minimum age, so the 1yo is out anyway. My nephew was 4 when he first rode it and he loved it. But if they're afraid of heights, don't take them on.

My daughter and I just rode it at WDW - she's 8 and absolutely LOVED it. One tip the CM gave us, if anyone is afraid of heights, make sure you're in line 3, it goes the lowest of the 3 rows

My niece is four years old and loved it. She is not much on rides. She even thought the the pooh ride was scary. Cryed the whole way thought it. But keep asking to back on the "airplane" ride.

We rode it at WDW a couple of weeks ago (twice). My 6 year old absolutely loved it. The 4 year was okay doing it, didn't complain, but it wasn't her favorite ride either (we rode Buzz Lightyear 7 times our last day, want to guess what her favorite ride is???)

We made a friend while in line waiting for Soarin, he was about 7 or 8 and he was a little nervous about the ride. After we rode it and were walking back to the entrance he wouldn't stop talking about how cool it was and was asking his parents if they could ride it again.

I'm still trying to picture this, but it sounds really cool. And does anyone know if you can use baby-swap?

I rode this in DL 2 years ago and loved it. It appears as one long bench but has shoulder and lap restraints for each individual seat. It is raised from the floor and you are facing a HUGE screen, the bench then inclines a little giving the feeling of gliding as you watch the screen. It is open but you don't feel like your falling off because of the seat restraints. Its a play on your senses not only do you feel like your gliding over California but you can actually smell the different fragravances as you go over the sea, the orange groves. Its a very very cool ride, I didn't see one person come out of there that looked displeased. Have fun. HTH
