Soarin' always open at 9:30, even off-season?

I've seen mentioned on here several times that Soarin' usually opens at 9:30, even when DCA's official opening time is 10:00. Is this the case even during the off-season times? We'll be there mid-week September, and I would love to knock this one off the list before park opening, and then head straight to Toy Story Mania.

They let you into DCA before 10am, but rope off areas to keep you in the middle area there. They put a rope up by Playhouse Disney and on the other side by the BURRRBank Ice Cream thing. That's how it was when we went. I've never seen Soarin open early.

During that first half hour 9:30-10:00 am (which is another one of those unadvertised DLR perks), Soarin is the only ride open. I believe this 30 minute early opening happens MOST mornings, but since it is not official, they may change it at any time.

Am I making up a memory that you could only do the early Soarin' through the GC entrance (available to DLR guests only)?

I think it's safe to say that Soarin will most likely be open 1/2 hour before offical park opening. I think this is for those who stay at the GC...but it's available to anyone (regardless of which gate they enter). Most don't know about it...but you can walk over there and check.

I don't know if you are making it up, but it's not true. They open the front gates first and then radio the CM at the GCH private entrance to tell him to let the GCH guests in as well. (I know this b/c I've entered from the GCH at 9:30 a few times and we were listening in on the CM's radio conversations).

last time i was there it was open 30 minutes early but not advertised so we missed it. but if it's not open its nice to be at the rope for the drop at 10. soaring and tower of terror are both crazy at rope drop.

The entrance to Hollywood Studios, near the GRR entrance, and near PT Flea's is roped off before park opening so everything else is fair game, even though there isn't much to do at all really. Like Danger mentioned, Soarin' being open isn't advertised, but every single time I've been at DCA for rope drop, (through out the year) it's been open. I don't want to make promises but...
