Soap Opera Bistro is gone!

Today was the last day for the Soap Opera Bistro! We were lucky enough to dine there last night. The staff are saying a Playhouse Disney show is going into the space. It was a really unique dining experience and we'll miss it!

Bummer! We enjoyed the Bistro last year on our DL trip.

Hmmm, I am not surprised as it seems most every time I've poked my head in there it was very uncrowded.
Neat theming and quite unique. I hope DCA will come up with a decent restaraunt elsewhere to make up for it.
Playhouse Disney is the rumor I heard too - another move to make the place more interesting for wee ones now?

Playhouse Disney Live on Stage is DEFINITE, it's been announced and is opening in April 2003.

Here here! to the new restaurant in DCA. Right now, there isn't a good, medium-priced restaurant in the whole park ala Red Rockets, Plaza Inn, French Market, Riverbelle Terrace, Carnation, etc in DL.

Playhouse Disney could be cool, though. We saw it at WDW and the kids loved it.

I am really disappointed in the direction dining has been going in the parks. With the exception of BB, it's all pretty sad. All the spots that sounded promising or innovative sure don't last.

Mitchell from WDW's Playhouse Disney Live will be moving to sunny Southern California as part of the DCA version's opening crew.
