So you're going to Disney World....and you

I keep calling every day until I can get reservation. But find another location off campus as a backup plan? Or just decide to go another time when I can get a reservation.

Many times we can't move our vacations around or must book within a couple of weeks out so for those times it's difficult. Of course, if we can stay on Disney property, that's what we do! We like being in the Disney "bubble" while we're there!

Call and call and call. Get one day and add on. Or book two weeks and cancel what you don't need. I've done the first, and read on here about the second.

Good luck!

Sounds like a plan!! Thanks!!:goodvibes

Persistance is absolutely key. But you asked what I would do, so I gave my options. Of course now that we commit to going regularly we pretty much setup the reservation as soon as we can lock down the time we can go.

Yes, I can testify to the persistence will work. I checked the reservations 3-5 times a day for single nights at a time. They sometimes posted openings at 3pm Eastern, even. I also called a few times for the after Jan 1st dates and the reservation cast members were very accustomed to people calling to find cancellations--very helpful and not at all annoyed. After about a week I was able to get all 7 nights, through the week of New Year's, on four separate reservations and had them linked together.

That being said, we were already pricing out our other options. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside last time and this time we were going to try Coronado Springs as the backup. We loved staying on site, using the magic bands, bus system and everything Disney offers...I don't think we would want to try staying elsewhere, even if we couldn't camp.

Thanks all!! I'm glad to hear that your persistence has paid off! It gives me hope!!:goodvibes
