So your going to DL the week after Christmas...

I just wanted to see who else is going at this time? We are going 12/25-12/30 and I'd love to plan with others who are going or have advice for us the busiest week of the year I'm planing for a group of 8 ages 8-88 that week. I know there is a hristmas thread already but I thought it might be helpful for those of us going that week. I'm thinking of booking a tour with the parade seating and a WOC dinner at Wine Country Trattoria.

We will be there. We go every year from about the 22nd to Jan 3rd.

Well, I just wanted to say that you're already ahead of the curve since you KNOW that it's the busiest week of the year. That means you can plan accordingly and go in with realistic expectations of what can be accomplished each day - much better than those poor families that don't read the DISboards and show up only to make this face:

Count us in!!! We are going 12/25 to 01/01.
We arrive on the evening of the 25th so no park for us. We will probably just have a quick dinner at DTD and head back to the hotel (BWPPI) for an early night.
I'm looking forward to all the advice specific to that week. This will be our first time ever travelling during a holiday so I'm a bit nervous to say the least but at least I know what to expect. Honestly, my two kids just want to see the new Carsland and won't be upset if we don't get to do everything.

It's a lot of fun with a big group. You don't necessarily get as much done, but it's just about being together and sharing memories/experiences.

Yes, the December check-in/roll call thread is a great way to see who else is going when you're going! Otherwise, it can get kind of confusing, with one check-in thread for this, one for that - but all of them revolving around December in some way.

In any event, have a great time Sacha_L! It will be crazy busy during that week - there's no doubt about it and no need to sugar coat it - but if you prepare yourself for it and plan accordingly (like, for example, have a back-up plan for what to do in the event that one of the parks closes when it reaches capacity), you'll be okay. Some folks have come back from trips during that time frame and said "Never again," and others have come back from their trips and said were amazed at how much they got done with the right planning.
