Wow! Nice find. Pretty sure Disney will honor them. When we went in 2012, we had some part used old tickets from 1998 which we exchanged for new tickets at guest services.

Then they changed it to say that tickets were good for life unless you used a day and then they would expire in 14 days.

Now I think tickets have an expiration date.

It depends on when they were issued and type of ticket.
Some never expire, Some will expire if they had had at least 1 use, some will expire if never used. The older the ticket, the more likely it should be honored.

We have some left off 10 day non-expiring hoppers from about 20 years ago - and yes, they're still usable.

I think they will honor them. They even honored the 'plus' options I had on tickets that were otherwise used up, and updated them to adult value from child value.

The last old ticket I turned in was changed into new media and they kept the old ticket.

It was only in 2005 when they came out with Magic Your Way tickets that they stopped having all tickets non-expiring. When this first came out, one could purchase a no-expiration option (until fairly recently). I guess they didn't like the idea that one could buy a 10 day no-expiration w/water parks and feasibly have 20 days of fun spread out over several visits. They want people to have to buy a ticket for every visit.
They keep moving further and further from Walt's vision simply because they can.

You're right. They did that with our old paper tickets too. I think our old souvenir ones that we still have were exhausted before MYW was announced.
