We're just back and planning another trip for the first mnsshp.
Just as we're passing on the way back from Ulm, you understand.

But this is the only place there will be people who will make me feel like less of a loon for going 7 or 8 times in a year.

I'm thinking possibly Bavaria????

Well, I AM at a Disney park every month or so :) but not necessarily DLRP

I am debating going to DL this month, was at DLRP a few times last month, and am going to WDW a few times next month.

HOWEVER I think that I am going to let all my APs run out for at least awhile.... or not! :rotfl: Seriously though, I have learned not to go too often, and to just enjoy bits and pieces when I do go. I've even gone to DL for an hour on a long layover between flights. I rode Casey Jr and Alice, wandered for a bit, had dinner at DTD and then back to the airport for my onward flight.

I would love a job like yours with all the travels you do:thumbsup2

We thought about not renewing our APs, but there are so many compelling arguments to renew them.
this next trip will be our last chance to get a free one for ds1, for example.
we've been to theme parks in the UK but they're not the same and i find the need in britain to incorporate 'cheeky' adult jokes into children's shows a bit cringey.
we thought about year passes to parc asterix but it's barely open off-season.
and i need to go to france every few months or my french gets to be embarrasing.

I find that the more often we are there the easier it is to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities as well as rides etc.
on our last trip we swam every day and went into Paris and we didn't feel like we had to pack loads in.

so bavaria, refresh my memory - how easy is it to get in to Disneyland and California Adventure? How long does it take? I have memories of huge multi-storey car-parks and long lines for shuttle buses.
we'll be going back next year.

I actually prefer to walk to DCA and DL in CA if I can (I often walk from offsite hotels) The hotel bus drop off is closer than walking from the Disney hotels (or at least it feels that way to me - GC may be closer, but Paradise Pier and the DL Hotel are definitely further away)

The car park is large and busy and the tram from there can be very full. We don't usually drive; if I am alone I walk or take the hotel bus, and even when with friends we often do the same and leave the car in the hotel parking lot. Or if I am driving from somewhere else in the LA area I will of course park in the garage. But that new parking structure (or relatively 'new') makes parking at DL much more of an annoyance. I would estimate that it takes about 30 minutes from the time one enters the parkade to the time one arrives at the park gate.

The good thing is that the entrances to DL and DCA are so close, just like at DLRP, that one can hop back and forth during the day.

Ah yes, compelling reasons for renewing APs! :rotfl: I am VERY familiar with those....

thanks for that

i actually much preferred walking between dca and dl as you walk in a straigh-ish line.
i'm quite excited to go back. it is much busier though, isn't it?

I go 7-8 times a year. Sometimes it's just an afternoon or even 1 hour though.

That's about how often we'll have gone this year. I just need to work on limiting trips to under a week. I did an overnight trip with dd at the end of may which was great. It definitely takes longer to see everything with my boys.
On this trip we'll have one or two nights on the way there and a few on the way back so I'll see how that goes.
What we do tend to do is go to DLP for extra magic hours, then go on a day trip, then go back to the park for a ride or two.

I try to go about 3 times a year usually for a pin event. Like you I find each trip I spend more time outside the parks than the last one. If you make the first MNSSHP drop me a line perhaps we can meet up.

I'm doing pretty well this yr. After my trip in a week and a half i will have spent 26 days of the last year in a Disney park somewhere around the world. Works out at as 1/14th of the yr.

11 days in DLRP (in 3 trips)
7 days in DL/DCA in California (across 2 trips, 1 being a solo trip at the end of a business trip)
8 days in WDW

ooh - working it out as a fraction of the year - i should do that.

sounds good, bonitatime - i went to the 'proper' halloween party last year and loved it.

I am not nearly so bad, as I've only spent 24 days in DLRP in the last year. :goodvibes Although before this last year, we only ever went once a year and then only for a maximum of 4 days. Then I got a new job and I am not the sort of person to save the extra money - a good way to spend it seemed to be to take a lot of extra trips to DLRP.

That's like us - we'd rather have some good holidays than clutter up the house with more toys and things. We had a few years of being really broke and this is a bit of luxury, i suppose.
