Never been there -- never done that -- thinkin' about doin' it.
We are Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey, Cape May breakfast people.
How does this compare?
Thanks!

My family will be trying the Ohana character breakfast on June 8th.
Hope to come back with some great reviews and pictures too!! :thumbsup2
We love Crystal Palace for both breakfast and lunch.
And...we will also be trying out Chef Mickey's for dinner on June 14th.

We love Ohana.. its our favorite.. Character interaction is great, they have a parade for the kids and the food is yummy. They have this pineapple bread that is worth the trip alone. Its one of our new must do's.

The food is very good. It is served family style at the table and is all you can eat. They have an awesome juice and breads to start. You get scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and mickey waffles, that I can remember. My DD and nephew wanted toast and they brought us out a plateful. Unlimited drinks of your choice as well, even sodas. Characters are Lilo & Stitch, Mickey Mouse and Pluto. They also do a "walk" around the restaurant like they do at Crystal Palace with the kids and the characters. They give the kids maracas and they play a song from the Lilo & Stitch movie. We just ate there a week ago and we all enjoyed it. It's a must for us everytime we go as Stitch is my DD's favorite character.:goodvibes

We areCrystal Palace and Chef Mickey lovers. We are trying Cape May Cafe for the first time this year. We have not done O'hanas since it was Minnie's Menehue and was a buffet like the others. I understand it is now family style. We probably won't ever try it because we just don't like Stitch at all. Sorry Stitch fans out there.

We always have a good experience here. We have gone two times on our departure day. Once when we stayed at Poly and once at POP. Mickey cured my son of his character phobia by picking him up when he would not go near him...then Pluto came over and licked his face. He warmed up to the characters after that.

Another trip we were having a hard time getting the kids to leave (as we were headed to our car to go home) and Pluto saw our struggle and helped us out by taking the kids by the hand and walking us all out of the restaurant- priceless! This was in September so definitely a more quite time of year so that may be why they got so much attention but we are hooked. We have it scheduled again this year only mid-trip so we are not so bummed while eating there this year ;)

have fun whatever you decide.

Danielle

I did this last Nov with DD17 and we loved it! ::yes:: The food is great, best Mickey Waffles!, bring the food family style and lots of it! Everything was really yummy and they served a delicious juice, can't remember name, that was really good, but you could get whatever you wanted. Also if you wanted Tonga Toast they would make it for you, or if you didn't want scrambled eggs, they'd make what you want. They are very accomodating to dietary needs if needed. Plus, the characters were lots of fun, even if we aren't kids! ;) Mickey, Minnie, Lilo, Stitch, and Pluto were great fun to goof around with. I think you should go, you'll love it! :goodvibes

DH's favorite character is Stitch (Experiment 626 actually :stitch2:), so we had to do this one for sure ::yes:: We loved it -- the pineapple bread was amazing, our server was great, character interaction was really good. And we had a really nice view of the castle. The Poly is a beautiful resort. We'd definitely love to do this again, but this year we already have breakfasts scheduled at Boma, CP, and 1900 PF.

go just for the juice alone! we've done this breakfast 3 times. sometimes the character interaction isn't the best, but the food is always good. and they have mickey waffles - come on now, could you ask for more? :goodvibes

I would rate Ohana Breakfast up there with Cape May.
I personally think those 2 are heads and shoulders above Chef Mickeys
and CP as far as the actual food goes. Chef Mickeys kind of skeeves me out as not being very clean.

My Kids love Stitch which helps but you also get Mickey. Great atmosphere one of the best Character Meals in WDW (breakfast , lunch or Dinner)

We are Chef Mickey and Cape May breakfast lovers, too.....but we also LOVE Ohana for breakfast :goodvibes. The atmosphere is nice and Lilo & Stitch are great.....along with Mickey in his Hawaiian shirt ::yes::. Not sure what kind of juice it is they serve, but it is awesome.....I couldn't get enough of it :cutie:. Everything else is very good as well......just an overall great breakfast :dance3:.

Tried it 2 weeks ago and loved it too! But then again we got good food and entertainment...Mickey's pants fell down when he got to our table! He was so embarassed he had to grab the closest waitress and go back and get his pants fixed! Very very funny!! The kids loved it!

We went there in October and really liked it. It is not as hectic as Chef Mickey's. My DS 9 seems to think the juice was called POG juice for pineapple, orange, and guava. He loved it too!

Pluto was great! He pretended to eat my kids' autograph book.

We still went to Crystal Palace because that is one of our traditions. With three kids I like Ohana's family style better, but I just love CP.

I'd give it a try! Have fun!

Ok we're in the minority because we thought the food was blah and very basic ~ however, we loved the entertainment. I did not realize you could substitute food, so next time we will ask for some tonga toast! I'm so glad I read this thread!
:)

I love this character breakfast! Yummy food and great character interaction. I prefer it to Crystal Palace. Big advantage is that Stitch is there and I love him!

We did this last Tuesday. It was good, we had a late reservation at 10AM, didn't get seated until almost 10:30. Food was delivered hot and plentiful. We had to wait a while for the last two character, but if you are not in a hurry, the character coordinator will make sure you see all four. We got an anniversary cupcake and card from Stitch and the Gang.

We went back in 2006. The kids loved the fact that they could get a smoothie for breakfast. It was delicious. Food was very good too. It is in a tropical setting so it is different in that sense. So I would try it for yourself and see what you think.

Do they give you some sort of dessert or sweet treat to end the meal?

Oh, and there are biscuits right??
