DMIL has requested we go to HDDR on our next trip. Now DW and I went to it 12 years ago on our honeymoon. So who has been recently? What did you think, and what tier seating did you have? Also I remember it being real difficult getting to and from HDDR. We will have a car, but don't know if that makes things more difficult. TIA :thumbsup2.

We were there last Sept. and it's a must-do for us every trip.:thumbsup2 The kids absolutely love it:lovestruc: the food, the show, the corny jokes, the washboards and spoons, etc. DH and I love the A/C and unlimited beer and sangria!:drinking1:laughing:

We have been there in a car as well and I think it was quicker than trip to MK/boat. You do have to park your car in a parking lot at the entrance to FW then take a bus through the campground, with some stops along the way.

Have fun.:goodvibes

Was there in April and LOVED it! Now it's one of my favorite meals at WDW. Bringing DH for the first time in September :-) Enjoy!

Thanks. I do remember it being fun and the food was good too.

It is a must for us on every trip, absolutely love it and our kids do too! The food is good, the drinks are great, the service is good, and the show is very funny....corny, but funny.

this is now a must do for us too. I have gone to disney too many times to count since I was a child and last Aug. was my actually my first HDDR experience. We are going in Dec. and cant wait. Foods great, free drinks and great show, cant beat it! Also sect 2 seating is the best for your money.

We were just there about 3 weeks ago. A superb time was had by everyone! We sat on the lower level about 1/2 way back on the right side of the stage and could see everything. Food and seating was great. Have fun!

Forgot to say we have sat in all catorgories, my favorite was actually a cat 3 seating, we were up top and and overlooking the stage on the railing so we were able to see everything and the characters came up and interacted with us quite a bit.

We were there last month, and had a great time. The food and show was good. I probably won't go again, because my kids are not big eaters, so it was a lot of food. I did most of the eating. :rolleyes1 I did have a problem getting there. We were at a park, and I figured we would take the bus there. I didn't realize that it was all the way on the other side when we got there! I was so upset, and finally got another bus to take us there with 10 minutes to spare. So, definitely take the boat there!

We were just there on July 31st! It was our first time and we all had a great time! I thought the cornbread, salad, chicken, and ribs were FABULOUS!! :thumbsup2

We had Category 1 seating and were lucky enough to be seated right in the middle in the second row. The show does move through the audience and up to the balcony, so it seems you would have a good view most anywhere.

The show was good and we laughed a lot! Thoroughly enjoyed it!!

We went to the Hoop Dee Doo in December and had a great time. Here are a few photos all taken from our table and I didn't have a zoom lens. We were in Category 1 seating right next to the piano player so we were right in front of the stage to the right. It was a lot of fun and we got to talk a little with the banjo player. We hadn't been for over 20 years - still the same show but great fun. We enjoyed the food too.

We usually go to this show just about every trip. We were just there again this past May. It's a lot of fun and the food is pretty good too.

Oldest DS was mad that we didn't go in 2006. When this trip came up he made me PROMISE that we would go. I am really looking forward to it. He is excited too. He is now 21 and plans on enjoying the beer.

We did the Hoop just two weeks ago! It was the second time for most of us and the first time for the 10-year-old. Though she ate half of a very expensive grilled cheese sandwich, the rest of us enjoyed the meal and we all really enjoyed the show. We were Cat 1 and were two rows back from the center of the stage at the 5:00 show. There was no one seated in the balcony at this show.

We didn't have any trouble getting to Pioneer Hall--just hopped on the golf cart. One of the many advantages of staying at the Fort!:rotfl:

There were signs posted that bus transport is offered to all Disney resorts after the two later shows, so if you are doing one of those you might want to take the MK boat or a bus from another park.

We went in march after not having been there in about 10 years. We had a great time! We sat in the balcony, which was good, we had a nice view of things. We did have some better interaction with the cast up there because it wasn't as crowded. I even got to dance with one of the players (my sister told him that i was engaged and my fiance was at home, they loved that!).

The food is great if you like fried chicken and strawberry shortcake. The sangrias are really strong and they sure keep them coming!

As for the car, you'll have to take a bus from the parking lot to the restaurant, but it wasn't too bad. It's about 5-10 min of a ride.

Well I'm sold. Hopefully we will be able to get into the 5 pm show. Probably go with tier 1 if available since the cost difference isn't too great. I wonder if the TIW card can be used here?

We were there 2 weeks ago. We had cat 3 seats, and I was worried because we'd always had cat. 1 in the past. I thought that our seats were great.

We all really enjoyed the show, as we always do.

We decided to drive this time rather than taking transportation to MK and then a boat to FW. Well, I had no idea that you had to take a bus to Pioneer Hall from the parking area. For some reason, I thought that there was parking closer to PH. So it probably took us about the same amount of time to get there as it would have if we used Disney trans. And after the 7:15 show, they had busses waiting for direct transportation to every resort. That would have been much easier than taking an internal resort bus to our car if I had known. (In the past, we went to the 5:00 show, and they did not offer this.)

What is on the kids menu there? I guess I could check all ears but I'm not sure if I recall seeing one? My son does have multiple food allergies so I'm hoping they have something he will like. We did note our reservations so we should be covered!
