Oh i'm so confussed. Can we see downtown disney from the disneyland hotel.
Although we are not going to disneyland since we always go to disney world and promised the kids a break. We are staying at the Disneyland hotel and on the first night would love to go to downtown disney. Is this something that we can easily do from the DL hotel. We will also be renting a car if that helps.
Thanks

So, you are staying at DLH... right?
Downtown Disney is right out your door! A two or three minute walk, literally... depending on which tower you stay in. We could see the Rain Forest cafe right off our balcony, and the fireworks in the park, too! We were in Bonita Tower, and loved it. We had a large room because we requested the fold out couch. Great hint!

We as well requested a fold out couch. I'm so pleased that we are right there at downtown disney. We must eat at the Rainforest cafe our first night.

No Disneyland? :( Downtown is sooo close and very nice at night!

I know hard to believe that my kids are all disneyed out (lol). We go to Disney world atleast once a year, sometimes twice. Although they like it, they do only in moderation. So this trip we used our DvC points to stay at the DLH for a week, but will go to the beach and to Hollywood and Universal studios.
Then onto Palm Springs for a week then Las Vegas.
The day we arrive we will go to the pool at the hotel and Downtown disney for dinner. We love downtown disney in Florida, I wonder if it will make us home sick for that.

You will past the monarail to go to Disney before you hit DTD well maybe not it is right there. look out your window

Have you been to DL lately??? Or at all??? There are rides there that are different or better at DL than WDW. Indianna Jones, Pirates, Matterhorn, Space Mountain, New Orleans Square, Toads Wild Ride just to name a few. You will love it!!! You really should give it a chance!!:yay: Have fun in California!!!:goodvibes

You can see Downtown Disney from the Sierra Tower (resort view), and some of it from the Bonita Tower. As the others have said, it is a few minutes walking distance.

I totally agree! Went to DL for the first time several years ago, after many trips to WDW. Loved it!!! The best way I can describe it is a completely different Disney park with the same wonderful Disney magic. If you think it is just a carbon copy of WDW or MK, you're wrong. It does have some simlarities, but so different. If you have a day, you should go!

DLH is at one end of Downtown Disney. It will be just the other side of the Sorceror Mickey Hat.
