:surfweb: This will be our second trip. I never did a first trip report.

Cast:

Me: 46 yo mom, just call me Wendy, I am a fanatic about WDW.

DH: 46 yo dad, just call him Grumpy, not a fanatic about Disney, shh.....he doesn't like WDW. So we will just leave him at home. Where he will be happy to watch football without us girls around. So he gets his vacation too in a way.

DD; 8 yo, just call her Princess Diva, a real girly girl, and loves WDW just like her Mom.

Minor characters:

SDGD # 1, 6 yo, I'll just call her Honey

SDGD # 2, 2 yo, I'll call her Candy

DGS # 1, not quite 1 year old, I'll call him Mickey Mac

The beginning.................sometime earlier this year. I get a bonus at work. Oh, whatever will I do with it? LOL! It took me just 30 seconds to decide that Princess Diva and I are going back to WDW. OK, decision made and the entire check goes into a nice 5.00 APR savings acct to gather interest while I begin planning this trip. I tell DH that Princess Diva and I are going to WDW. "What, you just got back from 2 years ago. And you are going again?" I offer a sweet smile and assure DH that he doesn't have to go. He changes from Grumpy to Happy upon hearing the news. All is good.

Mar/Apr.................I begin planning. Usually I book airfare first. Not this time, Airfares are crazy out there. I adopt a wait see strategy and watch airfares to determine what I will eventually spend on airfare. I start looking at resorts.

May;Jun.................look at resorts and watch for codes. Mostly research and information gathering at this point.

July/Aug...............deciding on where to eat. Princess Diva wants to do the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. OK, paid OOP for this. We got a CRT breakfast ADR on my first try. So easy. I called mid morning because I didn't awaken at the appointed hour. So I decided to call anyway and practice. When I got offered a 9:00, I took it. Also got 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. So I needed 2 costumes for Princess Diva. Princess Diva is 4' 6 and weights 50 lb in her bare feet. Fit is going to be a problem. I go find a costume maker on eBay who custom sized a Cinderella dress (DD wanted the day dress, not the ball gown) and a perfect Alice in Wonderland dress to fit tall and skinny DD. I make and remake and remake the rest of my ADRs. Disney Dining has me flagged in their system I am sure. I also have a MYW w/dining package booked with some type of discount. ZBH or something.

Sept/Oct..................busy work here, paid off package in mid Oct. I decide I need MVMCP tickets. Hmmm..........do I want Dec 4th or Dec 5th? I couldn't decide so I got both nights. I really want to see the shows and it looks like a lot of them overlap so 2 nights is perfect.

Nov/present................I am working on my to do list and my yet to buy list. Suitcases are stored in the truck of my car so I will pull them out about 2 weeks prior and start deciding what to pack. I am also working on my itinerary. I didn't like any of the spreadsheets online so I made my own. Actually, I just gave my boss a rough draft and she put 2 together for me. She goes to WDW too so she will use my spreadsheets as well. She wants a perfume bottle from Epcot so I will get her one. I have a list of people to buy for as well. I will just do my Christmas shopping there. Grumpy/Happy wants me to get his granddaughters something from WDW too. I will get my baby grandson his first Mickey stuffy as well. We are a his, mine and ours family. The grandkids started coming along when Princess Diva was 2 years old. When her older sister told her that Princess Diva would be an Aunt, then 6 yo Princess Diva told her she didn't want to be an Aunt, she wanted to be a BUTTERFLY! That's my girl! Why be an Aunt when Butterflies are way prettier?

Well, I better go to bed so I can get up nicely tomorrow morning. I will bookmark this post so I can keep adding to it.
