So, what's it like in June?

I typically go in January and 1st week of October... It was pretty hot a few days this past October (the first week)...

Am I going to die in June (2nd week)? What are the crowds like?

We were there last June...after having gone in March. It was hot, hot, hot! However, we were resigned to deal with the heat. It was the storms that really knocked us out. Each afternoon, huge storms would roll in just about the time we wanted to take a dip! We still had fun!

We were there from June 9-June 17 last year. It was warm 88-90 most days with lows between 70-75. It did however storm several of the days (including all day on a couple). We did manage to get everything done though and the rain helped lower the crowd levels drastically. It is still worth it to go - do the mornings 9:00-1:00 or 2:00 then take a break until 5:00 or 6:00 and you'll be just fine. We don't normally take breaks, but we schedule meals and hit the inside rides/shows in the afternoons to cool down.

I usually have to take my WDW trips during the summer. June is hot and crowded. It's not unbearable, though. Then again I'm from south Mississippi so I'm used to the heat. Just drink lots of water and you'll be fine. As for the crowds, we are always able do everything we want. Sure, the waits are long (sometimes 2 hours for rides like Peter Pan and Pooh), but FP comes in handy! :thumbsup2

June is definately doable, just remember that midafternoon is the hotest part of the day and the best time of the day to do some shopping in the ac. I happen to like Disney during the summer, not sure why, but it just seems right to me.

June is definately doable. I think any of the summer months are better than christmas week! Now that was unbearable for me. It's hot, but it's nothing you can't deal with. Just bring a mister fan and drink water and you'll be fine. Use fastpasses wisely, and be prepared to go home for a midday nap/swim. :)

In 2005, I visited from June 2 - June 9th.

My opinions/observations:
  • Very humid - I live in Texas and can handle the heat, but the humidty was crazy
  • It rained daily - 9:30 each morning and 3:00 each afternoon for 15 - 30 minutes. It was sort of nice. It would downpour, so we wore our ponchos during that time and once the rain died off, it took the humidity away for about an hour or two. Only one day did it rain all day long, but we still went to EPCOT.
  • The crowds were light when we first arrived, even with it being 'gay day' weekend, but towards the last few days of our vacation, it was packed and we were ready to go home.
I don't know that I would ever do June again. Well, if it was my only chance to go to Disney, of course I would,:teeth: but I will not intentionally plan another June trip.

In June it's usually in the high 80's during the day. Weekends bring more crowds. You can anticipate a daily downpour of rain/thunderstorm that doesn't last long.

June is going to be hot, humid and crowded. As a Georgia girl I am used to the humidity, so if you are not it could bother you. However, you can have a great time in June. Be at the parks when they open and hit the most popular attactions before the crowds get there and utiltize fast pass. The middle of the afternoon when the heat is the worst we go back to the resort for a break or either take in some of the shows or air conditioned attractions. There will be afternoon showers almost every day but they normally don't last long. We went in October one year and I found it just as hot and crowded as June.

We were there from Memorial day until June 2. It was hot, very hot. We live in south carolina so we're used to the heat and the humidity to some extent. If the crowds had been smaller, it would have been better. I think the crowds were up due to Memorial Day though. We did find that it cooled down enough in the evenings though. It did rain two days on and off but we managed to not get caught in the rain somehow. One day, it probably rained 6 times, and we lucked out every time. We did take ponchos with us but never used them for people - just used one to keep the stroller dry. Gay Day/ Days was going on but I really don't think that effected the crowd level. Their Magic Kingdom day was on the weekend, and we planned to avoid MK on the weekend anyways.

October here in SC can be quite hot, but June is definately hotter. Plus the humidity starts to lift in Oct, but it's in full swing in June.

*I've gone three times the week after Christmas. I didn't have kids then and DH and I found it quite easy to do and see everything we wanted and then some. We didn't use a guide or touring plan, just common sense and fast feet! However, I wouldn't attempt that week with kids. June won't be as crowded as that Dec week - but that June trip was the first we attempted with young kids making us realize how much crowds effect us now.
