Dh and I are going in May with our three boys. We originally planned on doing the EMH in the evenings because we are not morning people. I have a feeling it will be packed during our stay 5/8-5/14 so which would be the least crowded....mornings or evenings?? TIA!! :flower:

We are not morning people either and want to do the evenings. We are giving a try in May as well! I haven't been there yet so I don' tknow what else to say :) But I though tI'd share.

We were there the week before Easter, when there was 7:00 am EMH mornings at MK every day. The crowds at EMH mornings were relatively light even an hour after regular opening. We went to MGM for 8:00 am EMH on Tuesday and it turned out that they were letting both resort and non-resort guests in when we got there; so, no EMH advantage. We were at AK during 7:00 am EMH Saturday morning and it got busy fast.

We didn't attend any EMH evenings to compare. However, we did go to MK on the night of EMH pm but didn't stay for the EMH portion because it did not start until 12:00 am. However, some of the posts of others that went that same week report that the park was still busy until 1 am. We were there until 11:00 pm and I couldn't believe that there were still line-ups on Fantasyland rides.

I am loving these thread on emh. It sounds like more and more people are thinking of avoiding the parks with emh. I love it. Please, avoid the park with emh, they will be too crowded. Then the rest of us, will be able to really take advantage of it, even moreso than we do now.

we went in january so crowds weren't even an issue, but we did go to emh at nighttime, as we aren't morning people, and the night just seemed like more fun. it was a private party feel about it. plus it is 3 hrs not just 1. (dh looks at it as more for his buck, lol)

We had a great experience with early EMH at MK, not so much at AK, the safari filled up right away anyway. We stayed at the MK until 11pm one night and that was probably our longest wait in line for Peter Pan - 25-30 mins. That was not EMH though because MK was open til Midnight for the public. When we used the early EMH, we had everything we wanted to ride at MK done by 2pm. We really didn't take advantage of any other hours.

Hee-Hee!! :)

I am going in May and intend to go to the early morning EMH's, so I hope the crowds will be light. :flower:

PS, Does anyone else automatically think 'Emergency Medical Holograph' when they see the word EMH - or is it just me?!! :earsgirl:

It's just you. :)

I was hoping for more morning EMH's for our trip since we are morning people, but that is ok, too. There is a EMH in the morning for our second planned MK day and then there are EMH evening hours for the next day, our planned Epcot day, which will work well for us as we plannned a late breakfast the day after Epcot anyway.

imho, you can't beat emh at mk. we get so many rides done with no wait! we will try pm emh in a couple of weeks but i can't imagine it's better than am. ::MickeyMo

We were there Easter week. We used early entry on previous trips and it was always well worth it. My daughters and I are not early morning risers, so we tried the EMH evenings at Easter. Initially, they are very busy, but still lighter than during the day. They do issue FP during EMH eve.

I waited in line for them to start issuing the FP at MGM. They had run out of RRC FP earlier in eve so had shut them down. They opened them back up at the start of EMH eve. They did run out of RRC FP halfway thru the 3 hour EMH period and again shut it down. TOT's FP on the other hand stayed open longer. The last hald hour of EMH is basically a walk-on any ride.

At AK EMH eve we road Kali River rapids multiple times in a row at the start of the EMH. We didn't even have to get off and reload. Just displayed our wristbands. We had seen everything else during the day. The only negative to the AK EMH is that the Safari is not open...so that must be done earlier in the day. It had run out of FP midday when we were there. There was only one show of Tarzan Rocks and Lion King during EMH. The evening crowd was sparse. However, people were waiting in line for the first show before the park closed to the public.

We didn't do Epcot or MK EMH as we had accomplished everything just by staying late during regular hours. MK is always slow once people start lining up for the last parade. We always hit long line attractions then. We really only scimmed over Epcot this trip.

We thought evening EMH's were the best thing to ever happen to a WDW vacation. We never had to worry about getting on any rides, never hurried for anything, slept in, stopped to smell the roses...

By the way, I, too, think of Holo-Doc when I see EMH.
